My app still shows both LP and LTG. Maybe it only changes when something updates?

Claiming my Green Tier and Loyalty SC bonuses now has me LTS. Whilst app doesn't specifically call out LTS, it does show progress to LTG; so assume if you are LTG it shows progress to LTP??

If not for Covid restricting travels I would have been at least 1200SCs closer to LTG (assuming I kept Gold, more if Id managed to hit WP in 2021 or 2022). Current forecast has me hitting LTG sometime before July 2030.

No chance of me ever earning LTP; as not likely to ever be P1 nor live long enough. I only joined QFF post Ansett demised in 2002 and didnt start paying any attention to SCs until start of 2019. If I had Im sure I would have been LTG years ago.

My hope with aiming to achieve LTG is to have lounge access for my economy flights and to make it a little easier to use my points for flying, whether that being securing elusive classic reward seats or securing upgrades.

WP is very nice, but maintaining it indefinitely is not realistic for me, with nearly all of my flying self-funded.

If/when I get LTG I’ll be much more open to considering flying other airlines for international travel, knowing that I will still have some lounge access for my domestic flights.

It shocks me that so many people take this so seriously - willing to forgo some great deals and experiences with other airlines. With the money saved you could buy a lounge membership

QP membership is useless unless you’re flying QF or AA. It is not the same as SG / OWS.

I have a DSC voucher which is going to be usefull, but I can't find any F seats for the SYD-SYD segments? Do I need to book with a TA? Do you think the new AFF status run service will give me one of the two free trial spot? Would be good to save a few $

Slightly OT here, but I recently asked about a QP Lifetime Membership refund, after crossing the LTG threshold last year. After several months and mixed responses, they finally came back with a big NO to pro-rata refund, which I expected.

Should one have argued that removal of BA lounge access would:

4.3 Subject to clause 4.4, if Qantas closes a Qantas operated airport lounge in a Member's registered city of residence without replacing it, or amends these Terms and Conditions, the Lounge entry terms and conditions or Benefits in a material way or in a way that deprives the Member substantially of the intended use of the membership, the Member will have the option of cancelling their membership and receiving a pro rata refund of the membership fee for the remaining period of membership.

I had no trouble at all getting my refund last year. Do you remember how you contacted them. I can look up the email address I used if you like
