Life Time Gold - The [Realistic] Holy Grail

It's done. Lifetime gold.
No recognition pre flight, during flight or post.
Received email within hours confirming.
Wasn't even one of those fake ceo emails with an electronic signature.

Surely couldn't be too much to ask for the pilot on your flight to come out and thank you for your loyalty.

Or one pass to chairman's club ??

Been watching Too much up in the air.

To all you smart folk out there how many life time golds are there ?

Anyway got it done in about 10 years as a WP.
Just over 30 now so maybe in my high level care mobility chair in the future I might just make LTP haha....

Well done. The golden handcuffs are now off.

I stopped flying QF pretty soon after getting to LTG - a combination of Jetstar-isation of my regular flt scheds from Hobart and some other issues. But on the few occasions since, with QF or other OW airlines, I hv never heard an exclamation, comment or had any improvement in expected level of service just because I pulled out a gold card that says expiry Lifetime..

You want an special announcement for attaining LTG?

I would say there woukd be quite a few LTGs out tgere. Pribably far more than the combined P1 and CL population.

Given members have been acruing SC for decades now, there's likely a lot out there that have fallen over the line just through years of modest travel

I've been sitting on 13,000 SC's for about 3-4 years. Have hardly travelled since Covid and never thought I'd miss Gold. But after 3 flights in 2 months I might have to sign up again.

i mean they could send you something token like a plane model or some bs and a letter, whilst it may be a lot of people, it is a lot of flying an a lot of loyalty over the years. just under 13 yrs for me.

Solid work to get it done in 10 years. It will take me far longer 10SCs at a time.... ~30 years last time I coughtail napkin-ed it. *sigh* Congratulations and enjoy the perks. Tryin' Bingham salutes you.
