Achieved LTS Couple of weeks back. It has taken me 10 years to get there whilst maintains SG for the same period.
Would I still get a comp lounge pass for achieving LTS? ( I am SG)

Only when you don’t have higher status than PS. SG gets you into the lounge ahead of every qualifying flight whereas the lounge pass only gets you in ahead of a one way qualifying flight.

So you’ll get the pass after failing to requalify for SG (if that should happen).

Congrats to all.Something I will never acheive having been in QFF for 26 years and still not even half way to LTS.
Yeah, can’t see myself getting to LTS let alone LTG. I’m too much of an impulse flyer and aren’t loyal to any airline or alliance.

Thanks Mviy! I wanted to give the pass to my wife as she will be traveling on her own in Jan. I thought I would be eligible to a pass for qualifying LTS. I will call qantas and then feedback on how I go.

Its a bit weird. You get passes each year for LTS. Dr FM has a lifetime Qantas club membership and Ms FM has a Qantas club membership until next year, but they both received passes in August (their anniversary). They are both LTS.

However if you are currently SG then you won’t get a pass - Mr FM and I didn’t get passes when we achieved LTS as we both were platinum. Seems a bit unfair if you can get a pass if you have Qantas club membership, but not get a pass if your membership is via status, but there you are....However you never know - worth a call.

Congrats though - nice to achieve :)

Some Black credit cards will get you a few lounge passes. If you're desperate for a pass I'd churn to a card that offers these provided you have the necessary income to qualify for them.

I think the issue is getting the pass without any additional effort to do so.

Well I think what I mentioned would be the most cost-effective to legitimately get a pass unless you have a family member or friend willing to give you one.

But being LTS means a free pass except for those who just happen to be higher status when it’s achieved.

Yes, but downgrading to LTS may not be possible in the required timeframe depending on when the SG runs out.

I've always thought it odd that SG/WP didn't get the lounge pass. It's the only benefit of Silver that's not carried through to higher tiers.

Because one of the benefits of SG/WP is lounge access with a guest so figure they assume you don't need the pass also
