Further to that.... you guys could then make your way to Browns (5 min walk, if that) for some pre-dinner bevvies - it's just past L'Occitane on Victoria St, as you walk towards M&S away from the road. Then I should hopefully be able to meet you all at Browns as soon as I can.

Browns Restaurants

Thanks, Flashback. I will be at Browns around 7pm.

I'll book a table here for 7.30pm Browns Restaurants

The original plan was for people to meet outside WH Smiths at 6.30 and go from there - I think that is still the best option. Or to make it even easier, there is a Krispy Kreme that is a very small stand so would make the possible people around easier to spot!
Anything cheap and cheerful is fine by me.

So are we meeting at WH Smith, Krispy Kreme or Browns? I can be at Victoria anytime after about 5ish so any meeting time is ok.

Edit: I won't have internet in the UK, so any updates after mid afternoon will need to be by txt. Flashback and Mal have my number.

If you're confident of finding Browns, we could make it easy and just meet there. Hopefully Mal or I will get there around 6.30 or so... Mal is a better chance than I though, as depending on how the meeting goes depends on what time I may get away and back to civilisation....!

Should be fine as I have plenty of time. What name is the booking in? And what is 'M&S' that I walk towards?

Yep I'm happy tube strike is off. Unhappy that flooding is causing havoc on my train line though.

6.30 is firming up tho as a likely arrival time.

Opposite krispy kreme is simple. How about meet there until 6.45 And if meeting hasn't happened by then, head to restaurant.

I think I will be firmly ensconced in the bar by 1845.

Re: Sucessful ASA Bookings booked at classic rates Reference Guide

Thanks, OATEK. Am still hoping that the tube strike will be called off at the last minutes. Will keep fingers crossed.

Looks like the finger crossing paid off:

Just in from TfL "A second 48‑hour Tube strike has been called by the RMT and TSSA unions. If the strike goes ahead, Tube services will be affected from about 21:30 on Tuesday 11 February until the morning of Friday 14 February, when services are expected to return to normal. "

Guys, I'm going to struggle to get there even for 7.30, I should hopefully be on a train in around then and will ring through my food order - failing that I'll pop in for a post-dinner chat/drink!

No worries, I have just checked in at HH LGW and will be heading into town in the next little while.

Will definitely be post-dinner catch-up for me now. Took me 2.5 hours here in non-peak so I fear how long it may be to get back in peak hour.....

Sorry to hear that. I hope the traffic improves.

I will aim to get to Krispy Kreme by 6.30 and then will walk to Browns at 6.45
