As keen as I am to try economy class...... My next trip to Europe is all about ME and it is to be luxurious!!

I will do the economy flights but I was considering "working" my way into it.... Possibly by doing a long haul "J" flight first. ***Shudders****

Just wanted to throw my hat way passed the ring to confirm that I have absolutely no interest in sitting in Y with you for 20 hours, and no amount of Johnny Red (whether plastic or glass cup) or champagne (read sparkling wine / passion pop) is going to help you when you are trying to sleep on your side on the equivalent of a wooden chair. Don't worry, the plastic window panel feels like a soft pillow after the first 8 hours and the arm-rest in your back will feel like lumbar support. You will probably need to add 2 days to your journey to factor in recovery time.

Congratulations to your son, and look forward to reading your trip report.

You should use the opportunity to try raise some money for charity (other than your own donation).

PS: Is it just one-way Y or return...

Fly First and ask if you can get a photo taken in an empty Y seat for a bet? Or ask a passenger in Y nicely? I am sure they will see the humor in it, easy fix

I don't believe Air Asia X market it as business - everything I have seen is just premium. So it is the lie flat seat and several inclusions.
