Background to this thread
We have noticed an increase in the posting of questions regarding what Airport Lounges are available at specific airports when travelling on specific airlines. While one can be assured of access at the airline lounge when travelling on that airline (provided you have Lounge membership), thing start to get complex when travelling on a codeshare or partner airline.

Posting Guidelines
Please post your questions about Lounge access in this thread. Be sure to include the airline you are travelling on, the airport (and terminal, if known), and any Airline Status or Airport Lounge membership programs you have.

When answering questions, please include the original question. This will assist in readability and management of the thread.

(Special thanks to Princess Fiona for suggesting this new thread.)

On a OW J Award I was able to enter AA Flagship lounge at JFK for a domestic leg (not on same days as an international flight) because the flight was in domestic First.

But as you are flying Y then only Admirals Club (not flagship first) would be available on the US domestic legs.

Just checked last year's (October) travel to the USA. I definitely used the LAX AA Flagship Lounge prior to a LAX-BOS flight in economy. This flight was on a separate booking to my MEL-LAX flight the previous day, and there was no onward international travel. Perhaps they took pity and admitted me.

QF Platinums can use the AA lounges on domestic flights as OneWorld Emeralds, as long as you're on a OneWorld carrier ticket.
OK. I don't have status which must be the difference.

I remember travelling on an F ticket domestically and being denied access to lounges as the ticket wasn't International. But ironically was allowed access to some when I showed QC membership and travelling Y.

Perhaps I'm wrong Im only Gold and for me to access Flagship had to be flying domestic first that day (or connecting to international J same day) else I had go to Admirals club.

Hi
I recently used Qantas classic rewards to obtain business class tickets on a Jetstar international flight. My question is does anyone know the correct answer to these 2 questions please.
1. I rang Qantas Frequent Flyers and spoke to someone who said because I booked the business class flights via rewards redemption that we DO have access to the Qantas Business Class lounge. So then I contact Jetstar and they said NO only if the ticket was brought as a Max fare. Two differents answers!
2. Qantas business allows cabin baggage of 2 bags total weight 14kg but Jetstar business says only 7kg. I am nervous on who to believe in these circumstances of conflicting information.

Hello all

I'd like some advice from the community about lounge access/preferences for the following travel. This is a oneworld RTW ticket organised via work. I have QF Platinum status and am not taking checked luggage.

9Apr23 QF670 ADL-MEL 0600-0750 (QC ADL lounge)
9Apr23 QF21 MEL-DFW 1145-1245 (MEL QF 1st lounge)
9Apr23 AA1213 DFW-BWI 1426-1819 (Quick connection, won't need lounge, unless delayed.)

11Apr23 AA2314 BWI-DFW 1510-1743 (BWI Chesapeake Club Lounge. I can only find one lounge at BWI. Has anyone here used this, and is it any good? Any others advised?)

13Apr23 AA2964 DFW-MCO 1511-1840 (DFW AA Flagship Lounge? There is an Admirals Club in each terminal, but if LAX is any guide, they aren't great.)

20Apr23 BA2036 MCO-LGW 1700-0620+1 (MCO Plaza Premium or Admirals Club. Has anyone tried the Plaza?)

26Apr23 QF10 LHR-PER 1155-1140+1 (LHR By all accounts the Cathay Pacific 1st lounge is better than the The Qantas London Lounge. Perhaps try both?)
27Apr2023 QF886 PER-ADL 1420-1835 (PER QF Domestic Business Lounge)

Thanks very much in advance for any advice/discussion.

The Flagship lounge terminal D at DFW is actually very decent.

It’s been a while since I was at MCO but I’ll be there end of this month so I’ll report back.
From memory the AA club wasn’t flash.
I also have a Plat Charge card so if I have time I’ll check out the other options. I think there are two accessible ?

1. No you do not have lounge access unless you’re Qantas Club / QF Gold or above.
2. Your allowance will be as per JQ rules

In Terminal C, there is only the Plaza Premium. Terminal B has an Admirals Club and The Club, and Terminal A only has The Club. I think you should be able to access the Plaza Premium using your Plat Charge card. If you do, I'd be keen to know what you thought of it. Thanks!

Id just go to the lounge for your departure terminal. I wouldnt bother getting there earlier or waste time changing terminals just to use the AA F lounge.

I go to the CX F lounge and then a little before departure time move to the QF lounge. That way they'll call when boarding is ready.

Good advice, thanks. I've been to the QF lounge before, but hadn't realised that there was a CX F lounge. Or perhaps it is new since I was last there in early 2020.

Can access both of The Club lounges at MCO too according to Priority Pass.

Is this general advice or DFW-specific advice? I know the terminals are rather far apart at DFW.

The Skylink makes it super easy to transit at DFW.
Unless your layover is very tight then every time I would go to the Flagship lounge here.
There is a hot cook to order food option at dinner, actual Champagne and free pour drinks and a substantial buffet.
The showers are plentiful and excellent.
If you are boarding an Int J/F flight it might not be an issue but all of this is better than any of the AA clubs at DFW IMHO.
EDIT Pic is the cook to order option I had last visit.

No when flying J you get directed to the SilverKris lounge which is slightly larger and suppose to be nicer. When I flew through about six months ago I checked out both lounges the offerings seemed about the same, if anything the KrisFlyer gold lounge had less people in it however the SilverKris lounge has more shower suites and slightly more premium alcohol / food. Since the renovation they seem more on par with each other than before.
Yes the Silver Kris lounge has been FULL the last few times we’ve been in there recently. Renovations compared to pre Covid lounge, is cramped, even with 2 sections, & very busy, shower good at 0600 am, but no alcohol at that time!
so will be interesting to compare in both as we have J on return.

DFW specific. They're easy enough to get around, but for me, Id rather just spend minimal time at the airport than allow extra time to faff about changing terminals. If you have the time though, it's certainly a much better lounge

They tend to have someone waiting as you enter with a glass which is a nice touch.

Agreed. And whatever amenities you need, just ask at the desk.

When was this? I spent a good 4 hours there a few months ago over dinner time and there was no cook to order food.

October.
Passed through twice during that time.

Back again this week but will be breakfast so nothing then I think.
