Background to this thread
We have noticed an increase in the posting of questions regarding what Airport Lounges are available at specific airports when travelling on specific airlines. While one can be assured of access at the airline lounge when travelling on that airline (provided you have Lounge membership), thing start to get complex when travelling on a codeshare or partner airline.

Posting Guidelines
Please post your questions about Lounge access in this thread. Be sure to include the airline you are travelling on, the airport (and terminal, if known), and any Airline Status or Airport Lounge membership programs you have.

When answering questions, please include the original question. This will assist in readability and management of the thread.

(Special thanks to Princess Fiona for suggesting this new thread.)

My friend (not me, just yet) just obtained gold VA status. Hasn't received his new card yet, could his old card be used to gain entry to VA domestic lounges (i.e. any lounge that gold members can access) or does he have to wait for his new card? He used his complementary silver passes already.
Any card, or even a boarding pass, as they will be able to see his status on their computer.

If their gold status is showing up on the BP then it should not be a problem.

Hi all
I just booked a rewards booking (first time). I don't hold any status. Which lounge(s) can I access?
I presume there's almost no point hitting the lounge in Melbourne or Sydney on the way out given the early starts.

How about Christchurch or and/or Sydney on the way back?

01/06 - QF414 (MEL - SYD) - Depart 0900 Arrive 0925 - Economy
02/06 - EK412 (SYD - CHC) - Depart 0750 Arrive 1255 - First
09/06 - EK413 (CHC- SYD) - Depart 1805 Arrive 1925 - First
09/06 - QF414 (SYD - MEL) - Depart 2205 Arrive 2340 - Business

Can guest access be stacked?

I will be flying SYD-MEL in VA economy with friends, two adults and two small children. I will have Velocity Gold, plus I hold an Amex Plat Charge.

Can I use...
1 adult + 2 small kids for Gold
1 adult from Amex Plat
...and bring them all into the lounge with me?

(Failing that we might just go to Movida with Priority Pass.)

I've had success doing that previously. As a gold I got two guests in. One for being gold and one on my Amex Plat Charge.

Hello, I have a question about domestic connections in economy on an international business itinerary.

I'm flying on a virgin business class itinerary from Adelaide -> Brisbane -> LA -> Denver -> LA -> Sydney -> Adelaide.

All flights are in business class except for the very first one Adelaide to Brisbane, because I'm travelling in a party of 6, there was only 3 business class seats available at time of booking and I was one of the unlucky ones.

Does anyone know if Virgin's lounge access policy allows for lounge access when travelling in economy and connecting to/from a virgin business flight the same day?

Note I only have Velocity Silver status, any advice will be appreciated.

Sorry, I don’t know the answer to that.
Do your friends have any status to guest you in or failing that you could use one of your 2 lounge passes you receive for becoming a silver member.
If all else fails maybe post on the lounge thread and perhaps one of the kind people on this forum may be in the lounge that day and can guest you in

I forgot about the 2 passes, and they expire 2 weeks before I depart :)

Cheers for reminding me

Hi All
Flying JL 774 that departs at 12.05am ....Can we use the First Class lounge( One World Emerald ) even though the terms state that for entry you must fly on a one world carrier "the same day"...Couldnt imagine being knocked back but wouldnt mind knowing in advance,
Cheers

Once a week on a Mon arvo, Jetstar has a B787 domestic service from MEL Int'l to SYD Int'l (and then continues on to Bali). I have booked my wife and I on this domestic sector in Business (Star) Class using QF reward points. Never flown Jetstar before but wanted to try their 787. Should I be allowed access to the QF lounge at MEL Int'l? I have asked the airline but their staff don't seem to have any idea. They keep asking which bundle I bought, but as its a reward ticket there were no options to buy or not buy bundles.
