Background to this thread
We have noticed an increase in the posting of questions regarding what Airport Lounges are available at specific airports when travelling on specific airlines. While one can be assured of access at the airline lounge when travelling on that airline (provided you have Lounge membership), thing start to get complex when travelling on a codeshare or partner airline.

Posting Guidelines
Please post your questions about Lounge access in this thread. Be sure to include the airline you are travelling on, the airport (and terminal, if known), and any Airline Status or Airport Lounge membership programs you have.

When answering questions, please include the original question. This will assist in readability and management of the thread.

(Special thanks to Princess Fiona for suggesting this new thread.)

Qantas Melbourne international lounge opening hours?

I have a lounge pass , traveling Jetstar to Thailand 255pm on 6 may
Is the international lounge open?
Google is not much help.

The website says:
Lounge opening hours are three hours before the Melbourne to Delhi flight (QF69)... Not exist
and four hours before the Melbourne to Singapore flight (QF35) that's at 12.05pm , so open 9.05am , then Melbourne to London Heathrow flight (QF9), 2.30pm departure hence shutting at 230pm
The lounge closes once these flights depart. At all other times the lounge will be closed.

I guess someone here is an expert and can help more?/ Confirm

Looks like it'll be open for the QF9 departure at 2.30pm, so presumably you can use it until that flight is called for boarding.

Hello, sorry if this has been asked earlier.

Is it possible to use Qantas Lounge at MEL during transit? Arriving on a JQ flight from AKL and going to SIN on the same ticket with about 3 hrs layover in between.

As far as I can remember there is no separate "holding pen" situation at MEL for transit, but just want to check.

You would have Qantas International Business lounge access if open.

See here for current opening situation:

Thank you. This is for linking a "General" lounge invitation pass to a Jetstar booking. I thought I will check here about transit access prior to doing that.

I and others have had issues trying to link these 'General' lounge invitations in recent times. I kept a screen shot of the attempt to do so and showed the lounge lady, who allowed me to enter..

Hi, I have a QF award ticket flying with Qatar. Munich to Doha is in business class while my connection 4 hours later, Doha to Melbourne is economy. Am I able to access the relevant lounge in Doha or only in Munich ?

Your lounge access is typically based on the outbound leg, so if you have no Oneworld status or other reason to be eligible for lounges, then you will only be able to access a lounge in Munich as the departure point of the outbound leg. Your lounge entitlement in Doha is based on the DOH-MEL segment, so you won't be able to access the "normal" lounges in DOH.

However, specifically for Qatar Airways business class passengers at Doha, there is a "Premium Arrivals Lounge" - I believe this only works if your end destination is Doha, not for transit passengers. It might be worth a try (I couldn't find the detailed access rules on the Qatar web site). Someone else may know for sure.

Flying out next week on QR899 - just confirming there is absolutely no lounge access for Qatar business class passengers yet in Brisbane?

I'm a (newly minted) Velocity Gold member, and was thinking of using the Virgin Lounge in Adelaide next week to do some work while I wait for my friend to arrive from Sydney. Is this allowed or do I have to be flying on the day?

Thanks!

I'm flying into BNE on Jetstar next Friday arriving at 5am, but sixt doesn't open to pick up the hire car until 7am.

I have a complimentary Qantas lounge pass available through a credit card... could I use this on arrival to get some breakfast and hang around in the QF lounge for a couple of hours?

No. It can only be accessed when you are travelling that day on a VA service.

Flying BKK-DOH (F) then DOH-DUB (J) with Qatar. Could anyone advise which lounges we will be eligible (that are open!) for in both Bangkok and Doha?
