Hear hear.

No doubt driven by the wave of passengers from China who lack knowledge of polite etiquette.

I've see most of the mentioned behaviours transgressed by a variety of cultures, nationalities and and ethnicities

The badly behaved people I've seen are Australian or most recently, Eastern European.

I may have snuck a few banana timtams out of the Wing myself

You meant whose culture and therefore ideas about what constitutes "polite etiquette" is different from our own? I dare say you lack knowledge of Chinese polite etiquette and would come across to them as an ignorant, ill-mannered person.

That comment comes across as more than a little racist.

Not necessarily. I have seen large groups of Australians at varying lounges around the world. I cringed!
Not just Australians. Put a gadget in someone's hands and they think everyone is dying to hear their conversation.

I miss the days before this rubbish. Ban all gadgets now. Problem solved.

This is one item that should definitely be prohibited from lounges:

[h=1]Meet The Scrote 'N' Tote[/h]
Every so often, a fashion invention so hideous makes its way onto the internet and everyone despairs. Today is one of those days.

Like some kind of horrible counterpart to the famous 'cough dress', there exists a rucksack made to look like a ball bag.

It's called the Scrote 'N' Tote bag and it's actually been designed to look like a set of testicl_s.

I must be getting really old.
Seriously, this is supposed to be funny? Fashionable ?

Not old. Just a sense of taste. No one I know, young or old would think this was anything but gross.

Thanks. As you can see from the thread, this occurred back in January. It must be me though as I had another occassion in the Perth QP with a bunch of bogan FIFOs in June. The biggest mouth there used EVERY swear word. When I called him out, he became very sarcastic and said to all and sundry that I was offended as if it was a crime. As he left the lounge for his flight east, he yelled out that he has going home to cough* his wife. It was a awful. If I had my time again, I would have gone to the front counter and left it to QP staff to do something.

I find this very hard to believe, great story though

I saw a man wearing a lycra exercise outfit in the SYD DOM QP last night. I'm surprised he was allowed as it was an awful sight (obviously he thought otherwise).

SYD Dom J lounge Sat morning around 0800:

At the coffee queue I noted a couple enjoying a PDA. That's fine... until it got to the heavy french kissing, heavy breathing and cough grabbing and stuff... and the female of the species was wearing what I can only describe as an oversize t shirt-cough-nightie and those trendy ankle boots(whatever you call them, I have no clue).

now I'm no prude and I have no problem with affection or PDA's, but surely there's a limit? surely people should be considerte or thoughtful of others? I don't know that the breakfast crowd needed to see all the groping and fondling while waiting for coffee or picking up their greasy sausages at the brekky buffet.

It was in no way classy.

Maybe the lounge staff could have redirected them to a Airport Meeting Rooms | Qantas :p
