Doesn't VA take off from a different terminal? I'll be in T1 and may also try standby for an earlier flight back to SYD but more than happy to meet up.

I should be at MEL around the same time after arriving from AUH on EY, so I'll try to drop by for a quick chat?

The QF Domestic (T1), International (T2) and VA Domestic (T3) terminals are all within a brisk walking distance for my pair of little short legs! Let me know if you do manage to fly forward... It's another long weekend but I finally got on a 10 am QF flight on Good Friday even though I was booked on the 2 pm (having arrived at the airport just after 5 am).
