So it's now possible to get WP and no loyalty bonii. If you get to 2,400 SCs (including your four ~ QF flights) would you still get the choice of bonus including the 50,000 QFF points?

Only if they do not enhance that feature.

Speaking of platinum extra benefits, when reaching 2400 SC's if my partner already has Gold (attained normally) and I select partner gold will they get another year of Gold added on to their existing Gold or will it not allow me to give them partner gold if they're already gold?

From memory the recipient of the Gold status has their membership year aligned to yours so you may actually end up cutting your partner's Gold status, depending on when their membership year expires.

Note also that it's no longer called Partner Gold as the status can be given to anyone.

If your partner is likely to retain gold in their own right I would be taking the 50K points...

From memory the recipient of the Gold status has their membership year aligned to yours so you may actually end up cutting your partner's Gold status, depending on when their membership year expires.

Note also that it's no longer called Partner Gold as the status can be given to anyone.

So if my year ends in February and I hit PG in December, and give PG to someone, would the level last the 3 months to February, and then 12 months from there?

My understanding is that your "someone" will have the Gold until your reassessment. ie the 15 months. This also makes sense from the fact that their year becomes aligned with yours.

Cool. I'm sure I read a horror story on here of a membership that lasted the couple of days to the new year and it made me wonder if I should wait till my year ends or not.

You will have ~1 month from your anniversay date to decide. So perhaps best to wait until your new membership year.

Talk about cutting it fine...I hit 500SCs for this membership year on 1 July, including 100SCs from MH. The flights were pre-July though, so the 8000pts still came through.
