Luggage

After reading only good things about it (every review I saw was positive) and seeing a couple of members here had one (@JohnM @get me outta here ) I got a Caribee Skymaster 40 for Christmas.

I used it on a few long weekends away and its just had its first couple of flights. I love it. I flew JQ and didn't have any problems with it's size.

I used some packing cells and found that I could access everything without having to bring the bag down from the overhead bin. The zips are wide and move smoothly. The backpack straps stow away quickly and I love that they have a simple clip and not have to be threaded through a buckle to set up. The two handles (one on top and one on the side) make it easy to pick up.

I also found that even if the two main compartments were full, I could open the main zipper and stuff a jumper in; the bag would just expand a little.

I think I have posted this, but in cae I haven't;

I have the Caribee Fast Track 45 wheeled backpack. Caribee | Backpacks, Travel Luggage and Outdoor Products

It works well as a backpack, but most of the time I use it as a wheeled bag. Easily accessible pockets and only weighs 2.6kg, leaving 7.4kg for my packing.

I have had it for a year or so now, and is holding up well after considerable use. There is a slight noise from one wheel which I will keep an eye (ear?) on.

Luggage is the important part of the journey which contains the different things that you need throughout the journey. So if you want to go for any trip make sure that you having less luggage which can make you travel comfortably.

I agree. Checked luggage is overrated!

Sometimes Myer is cheaper. Purchased 2for1 deal on a couple of 78cm Samsonite 72hrs DLX ..... weighing in at a whopping 2.8kgs.

Myer = $479 + bonus $20 Myer giftcard = $459..... luggage direct = $570

Samsonite has been a miserable failure. Not sure if it's the lightweight material or they just make a rubbish product.

Have gone back to a Delsey with a sturdy frame/material with an inbuilt digitial scale. I tested the scale on check-in.... spot on.
