Unfortunately, I'm thinking I won't cancel. Especially since I gave the committee a stern email about the lack of a quorum at the last meeting.

On another note I'll publish the meeting schedule for next year as QF seem to run these events on meeting days.

The PM has all 24 attendees listed. Some interesting names on the list and assuming all accept it should make for interesting discussion at the lunch.

I noticed that but believe that each person should be free to say publicly whether or not they are attending at this stage.

That is an interesting question as presumedly NB's views on things are important if QF wish to attract more paying customers.

We need to be very careful of just looking at raw numbers.

The interesting aspect is not the absolute number of WPs attending but rather the proportion of WPs attending relative to the proportion of AFF members who are WP. This would apply to all FF categories.

It is likely that the AFF 'population' is heavily skewed to WP, so it is only to be expected that a similar skew would be seen in the attendees. Only deviation from the same relative proportions could suggest an imbalance.

It is also possible that there was a greater proportion entries to the competition by a category than its proportion in the AFF membership (eg. maybe more WPs are less constrained with their time or by the boss than those in other categories) which could further lead to perceived over-representation.

Having just got back to a computer, I can finally see the full list (you're not able to see all addressees on the app) and shall go with this, instead of updating the first post with the missing usernames.

Anyway the reason I haven't participated in thread prior to now is that I have only in the past 2 hours received my email confirming flights, with the itinerary promised for tomorrow.

I'm worried about the centre seat on a flight from PER-SYD.:shock: Online checkin opened 30 minutes ago but I can't checkin in as I have no booking info.

However, if need be I can put up with a centre seat to be able to attend.
