Lunch with Lesley – Attendees

A borderline situation given it is usually a condition of attendance at these events that people consent to being photographed and videotaped, but some members may prefer to remain incognito, so best to err on the side of caution with these things.

I agree with kpc's [now redacted] comment that it's always best to take the conservative approach with privacy matters.

As has now been revealed, I was also invited.

I was keen to participate, but unfortunately have a family funeral to attend, and have had to send my apologies. Hopefully some other time.

Condolences, not a very pleasant reason to cancel. Hopefully Red Roo will have a spot for you at a future event.

I'm worried about the centre seat on a flight from PER-SYD. Online checkin opened 30 minutes ago but I can't checkin in as I have no booking info.:(

However, if need be I can put up with a centre seat to be able to attend.:D

Let's not ruin this thread with the centre seat debate again but I think it should be possible to be invited to attend these events and not have to suffer a middle seat.

What is the expected dress standard for a function like this?

I've contacted a few already who this seems to have impacted directly through PMs, though just to re-iterate for other's benefit...

My sincere apologies for posting the attendee list. Had a moment where I completely forgot that the list we saw wasn't what everyone else could see.

I mis-interpreted Samh004's comment in his post, "and shall go with this, instead of updating the first post with the missing usernames" as meaning he was going to update the list in the thread with all the names, so thought I'd be helpful and send him a list comparing the two... and then for some reason thought "ah, I could just post it to the thread and Samh004 can pick it up from there...".

Realised my mistake when Samh004 sent me a PM... Thanks to Samh004 for taking it down so quickly.

So once again, my apologies to all and I didn't mean to cause any offense through the error I made.

Didn't concern me.

Business attire? Some people wear ties.

I am going to wear jacket, business shirt and pants.

Mmmm, now reassessing what I have packed. Smart business here in wa is jeans and collared shirt or high vis.

Don't reassess. I have got out a suit jacket but only because it's cooling down in the mornings. I can refrain from wearing a tie if that helps.

That should be fine.

Isn't smart casual in the Qantas First lounge singlet, shorts and thongs?

The number of men who think singlets are fine in the QP, yet know they cant wear them in the mess (food hall) on site is amazing.
