I've been sitting on the sidelines for most of the posts pretty much shaking my head at the sheer negativity that’s gone on here.
I certainly consider myself a fan of QF, but I don’t consider myself a shill by any stretch of the imagination. If I am invited (and I certainly have my fingers crossed) I will be asking the questions which are on my mind, and take great interest in the answers, knowing full well that I may or may not like them.
At the previous lunch I was lucky enough to attend, I asked the direct question about mASA's no longer been bookable online, certainly a contentious issue at the time, and the answer that I was given was certainly not one that I liked, but from a business point of view made perfect sense.
One can always argue “why is it a select few, why not rent a large hall”, well I've certainly filled in survey forms when they have come in, I've sent in both good and bad feedback as appropriate, and whilst in each case I've received a response, there is nothing quite like talking one on one with someone high up in the tree, and you only really get that at events like this, even large hall type events tend to be dominated by a select few.
Furthermore I’d imagine an event like this is the perfect opportunity for QF to really gauge the feelings among those who actually use their services (probably a good part of the reason that the QFF number needed to be included). Even feedback on an online forum such as this needs to be taken with a grain of salt, since there is no verification that you are who you say you are, and that you do what you say you do.
So I for one would love the opportunity to attend this event, and I’d hope that QF will continue to arrange events like this one in the future.
