My January statement posted yesterday. All points, including ATO are already in Qantas account. Read statement thoroughly and there is still no notice of pending points cap. I wonder if Mac are planning on notifying us?

Ditto.....

Got the Citi Signature card fee free for life and just before ditching the WWEDRCC paid a huge GST bill :) Lucky last one before the card goes the way of the dodo.

After being promised a 12 month fee waiver on 20 October last I just got charged the fee. Not entirely competent these people. Another phone call and it was flagged for reversal.

Fee or no fee if there's a reduction in the points earn I'm off.

I agree. This card is useless with a points cap. Although, with the annual fee waived, it will be getting exactly $2,500 of ATO per month. I Can't say no to 30,000 free points PA.

The points capping is at the bottom of the last page of my January Statement. Easily missed as it isn't bolded or anything. Exact text is

EFFECTIVE FROM YOUR MARCH STATEMENT ISSUE DATE YOU WILL EARN 1 QANTAS POINT PER $1 SPENT ON ELIGIBLE PURCHASES FOR SPEND UP
TO $2,500 PER STATEMENT PERIOD. ABOVE $2,500 YOU WILL EARN 0.5 QANTAS POINT PER $1 SPENT ON ELIGIBLE PURCHASES IN THE SAME
STATEMENT PERIOD. NO POINTS CAP APPLIES. IF YOU HAVE ANY QUESTIONS PLEASE CALL 1300 10 1234.

Hmm....does that mean March/April statement date onwards - so that Feb/march statement is at 1:1?

I just checked my statement, issued 15/1, and it doesn't have any such statement. I also checked the website and it doesn't mention it either:

I wonder if this is selective - certain customers are being singled out?

Does this change affect WOW Money Qantas Platinum card? Had a quick scan thru the thread and didn't see it mentioned - the Jan statement (pdf viewed on-line) hasn't got the clause as per aussieboozer post.

My statement periods end on the 20th of the month and I read it that the cap will apply for spend after 20 February as these transactions will appear on the March statement.

My last 2 statement spends have been $5191 & $11278 but prior to that were between $3000-4000. Perhaps the increased spend put me on their radar?

My statement was also issued on the 15th and had no mention of capping. I think it's more likely that the statements have been updated since then.

My stmt was issued on the 19th, and doesn't mention capping.... :?:

Jan6th - no reference to capping.

Last few months have been under $2K in spend as it's a 'plan C' device. (Want more Velocity, not QFF points).

Another statement here for Woolworths Money Qantas Platinum Credit Card, issued 15th January, with no mention of capping included on the statement.

If earning reduced to 0.5 points/$, then I too will be spending $2500 per months max on this card and the rest will be going to other cards. In fact 1 point/$ on Amex laundered to AA via SPG (resulting on 0.6 AA miles/$) would be better value to me than 0.5 points/$ to QFF. Currently I use Amex only for buying Wish Cards (3 points/$) to spend on groceries, fuel, hardware, technology, booze etc, and use EDR card Woolworths/Qantas card for everything else, splitting my earning between AA miles and QFF points.
