My Jan Statement has the evil words…….:evil:
We have just paid for some long haul J fares and a cruise.. so that's harvested a few points.
No more big dollar payments planned so I will watch and wait for the moment.
I'm a bit over this points game anyway.. it's been a good ride over the years but qf have queered the pitch by limiting the J availability to a trickle.

Trickle! A trickle would be a great thing. Last year I tried J class MEL>LHR 5 minutes after bookings opened 12 months in advance...nothing. Managed to get premium economy going over and business class return. More recently tried MEL>LAX>AUS - only economy available.

I had no worries getting award seats for our end of year Euro trip.

The screen was awash with availability.

In fairness to the roo….it does depend on where when and how you want to go somewhere.
Swmbo will not do milk runs (will not even connect through sydney) so we pay top$ for the evening Emirates flight out of Bris Vegas

I just got my MasterCard WW Qantas EDR C/C statement.
Right at the end....... as from March statement the point earn is 1:1 up to 2,500 then 1:2
wonder how much a month the turnover on these cards will now drop ?
I'm looking at alternatives already, what about others

Yep... will not be renewing when it comes up in March. Think there are better products out there, particulary with the reduction in earn.

I may have to call Mac to clarify. But, do you read it as though the statement issued in March (Feb/march spend) will be capped or the spend on the March/April statement will be capped?

Yes me too. I will definitely not put more than 2500 on there and without a waiver of the annual fee I will cancel it

no special notice etc just sets out changes, on mine anyway and mine was January 22nd.

Wonder what their monthly turnover on the cards will drop by or are the AFF's the only ones who realise how the "game" is played. ??

I looked at that too but don't see how they can cap points earned after 22nd Feb in my case and before the March Statement. I am expecting that points earned from 23rd March onwards will be capped. How do others read it ??

Statements seems to have changed sometime on the 20th.

Hopefully capping starts after the march statement so that feb can be a free for all!

Not on mine either, fingers crossed as I cannot be bothered right now switching all my direct debits off this card
