I haven't received my statement. Points transferred to QFF last week sometime. That's slower than usual.

The change to the points earn is on the Woolworths Money website now. I haven't got any notification yet but my February statement is due any day now.

Re: The party is over

Rushed to complete my BAS tonight...then paid with WOW MC, and have reloaded card via Bpay so can make an "extra payment" on Monday :)...might as well go out with a bang!!
Reload came through overnight...made another payment to the ATO this am...this could be my last spend on this card!

I guess they've figured the average domestic user spends up to $2,500 a month. It's a reasonable deal up to that limit.

The T&Cs state, "No Qantas Points are earned on business expenses..." Other than ATO how would they work out what are business expenses? With some exceptions many of my business expenses could equally be domestic, e.g., Telstra, Eastlink, insurances, &c. Just large amounts. It would take effort to comb through 10 page of transactions each month.

How do you reload it?
It worked easily on the old website but I have looked and looked on the new website and can't find it

All I can see is, "Exciting changes coming soon". Prepare to be excited.

OK thanks, that covers new card offers. I guess I'll be seeing it on my next statement.

"
  • Earn 1 Qantas Point per $1 spent on eligible purchases[SUP]4[/SUP] for the first $2,500 spent per statement period and earn 0.5 Qantas Points per $1 spent for the rest of that statement period."
The Woolworths Money site, not the card site.

https://www.woolworthsmoney.com.au/wowm/wps/wcm/connect/wowmoney/wowmoney/home/home/

See 'quick links' to go to the card offer.

Thanks for the update.
I will watch for my next statement to see my points.

May have to rethink my spending.

Is there a minimum notice period for Banks to vary the T&C's of their products or is it just open slather ?
(Guessing the latter :( )

While in the case of Woolworths credit card, the earn rate is not actually in the T&Cs, the T&Cs do say they will endeavour to give t least 30 days notice.

The family finally remembered to give me the mail last night. Right at the end in small print the earning cap is mentioned - effective from the March statement. Annual fee due in March so goodbye cards.

Well that is true of ATO too, I do pay tax too personally!

Im sure they have algorithms for this, i.e. if you are paying >$1000/month to Telstra its probably worth looking at!

Re: The party is over

The change to the annual fee and the introduction of the supplementary card fee was contained in the blitz of documentation sent at the changeover. The change to the points earning started to be notified to people on their monthly statements about two weeks ago.

Supplementary card holder fee? when does that start? do they pro rata annual fee .. refund? this is terrible.

Re: The party is over

SWMBO had been directed to use Citibank visa now.

Introduced when they move to Macbank and increased the fee.

Re: The party is over

So i got an email asking to activate my new-look card as soon as it arrives in mail. In the email it also says under T&C, the capping of points to $2.5k and offers 10% of woolies shopping if I activate before 31 march.

my question is, has anyone else received the same email and does this mean the point capping will only take place only after I activate my new-look card, or its effective from today?

Thank you in advance!

Re: The party is over

I wonder if the $2500 cap applies to qantas purchases.
If it does it's a big hit.

Re: The party is over

Hmm....that's interesting. Haven't herd of that before. Did you apply for a new card or account?
