Happy with a discount on the usual $300 spend. Considering I haven't seen the new cards and cancelled the account last week I was surprised by the email.

I guess that's not bad. As a couple, we'd have Buckley's chance of spending that much at woolies.

I'm pursuing the BankMECU card, I have 90 days to get my tax return lodged and a copy to them. Interested to hear from any QCU cardholders on points success.

Did we ever work out when the cut off is for the capping? I haven't received a March statement yet but I did look at the Feb one and it had the bad news there. I have a $12K tax bill to pay and don't know if I am wasting my time (and 9500 points) doing it now.

I was thinking of ditching the card but the incentive might make me stay if it comes and I can waive the fee. My usual spend is around $3K but tax bills are of course a lot bigger when they come.

The capping comes in from the date of issue of your March statement.

I've just brought forward my May tax bills.

Finally got around to reading the terms and conditions. The 5000 points is offered as long as the card is activated before 31 March - so when they say 'today' they don't really mean it.

Cleared my running account balance tonight so I can have another run of point per dollar to QF. I found I had a bill that wouldn't fit so a BPay was needed. By Wednesday this card will be heavily in use.
