I was keen on this offer and duly applied. Was asked for proof of income via employer which I supplied. My income is well above the minimum threshold, and yet they still wanted me to send them my last tax assessment notice! Given all the issues everyone is reporting in chasing miles, I told them to cancel the application. 40k QFF points forgone, but potentially a nightmare journey with all the aggravation just to ensure they comply with their contractual obligations - not worth the hassle.

Will keep an eye out for the next lucrative CC offer.

40k for both myself and wife received, now to cancel. Would I do it again, well actually yes I probably will in a years time if they continue to give miles away at 40k for $99!

Touch wood, the whole experience has been perfect to date. Application process painless, someone rang me and asked for a copy of most recent payslip which I emailed immediately. Received card within a week, gave them my QFF number when activating the card, 20K in points two weeks later and 2 QC cards not long after that

I must admit, I've only just hit the 5K spend (refused to use the card where AMEX was accepted) so still waiting on the second lot of points but so far it has been stress free

I guess it all depends on who picks up your application, sometimes you're lucky, sometimes you're not

two weeks after I submitted my payslip, they called my HR wanting to verify the income. lol.

worst financial institution ever.

They've "escalated" it and it will take up to 10 days. We'll see...

Nothing. Of course. No call (as promised), no points (as promised), no passes (as promised). My next statement ($0) even turned up, without any passes.

Sick of this. Sent an e-mail to their Head of Card Services. Next stop, FOS.

AAAAND less than 10 hours later - points. Boom.

Could be a coincidence, but I don't think so, because:
- On the phone I was only guaranteed the initial 20k within 10 days (but the full 40k just posted)
- They posted as Jetstar Platinum MC, when I signed up for the Macquarie Visa Platinum (not fussed at all - 40k is 40k regardless of what the statement says).

:)

Just made the call as my second lot of 20k points haven't arrived and it is over 60 days since 5k spend. On hold, escalated, blah blah blah, 10 working days. I will wait 10 days and see what happens, partially because the comments the CSA made suggest they are so incompetent that I may get the the initial lot of 20k points (already received) again.

Finally after 4 months of waiting, the second lot of 20k points were deposited and the card was promptly cancelled.

Took multiple phone calls and after my last call last week, the qantas passes suddenly appeared express post and the points credited.

1 card gone.... still waiting on points for the second one before it suffers the same fate.

Almost good riddance to Macquarie. What a nightmare!

Do you have the email address for the Head of Card Services by any chance? I might try the same approach on day 10.

I've had the same experience but I'm only half way to hitting the $5k mark, so we'll see what happens when I do.

Just made the "where's my points and passes call". Card activated 7th Dec, first spend not till 7th Jan (Aus Post kindly folded the card through the chip, so I actually had to ring up and order a replacement card the day it arrived, but I activated it ahead of the 13th Dec deadline for the offer I was on).

Have now spent only $2.5k (more to come), but when I rang up, got put on hold, and then told "yes the points are overdue, we're escalating and the 40,000 points will be transferred within 10 days, and the lounge passes sent out."

Hopeful they will credit me the 40k now even though I'm only due 20k; not sure why it works for some but not for others, but it seemed like they're getting used to fixing this for enough people that they at least have a process in place to fix things when the process that should have been carried out in the first place has failed.

Well I just got to my 5K spend by the end of Feb qualifying time as I refused to use the card wherever higher earning cards were accepted. Had to pay two council rate instalments which just got me over the line. Statement issued 3/3 and final tranche of 20K points posted 6/3 so once again I have to say the service has been outstanding. They have delivered in a timely way exactly what they promised so no complaints at all from me

The incompetence astounds.
Same issue with me: 60+ days from 1st spend, no 20k. Rang 3 times, now 'escalated'. No Qantas passes either.
Wouldn't be a simple thing to write business rules in their system to trigger transfer after certain date (maybe then a human to check before transferred)? It would save them call centre costs surely!
UNBELIEVABLE

Just made the "where's my points and passes call"... told "yes the points are overdue, we're escalating and the 40,000 points will be transferred within 10 days, and the lounge passes sent out."

OK, called on Thursday, Qantas Club passes were in today's mail. That's a win. Still no sign of points, but at least they've done something. Pass expiry April 2015, so plenty of time to give them to someone who needs them.

Waited 9 working days and then called to say no points. Was told they had been transferred the previous day, and T&C are that points can take up to 5 working days to transfer. Waited 3 working days and checked with QFF - no points. Called back and was told effectively "not our problem you need to call qantas." Explained that I had done so, and was then told "we will escalate this issue it will take 10 working days......."

At that point I dug my heels in and said that's not acceptable. I asked for a call back from someone senior within 24 hours and that the CSA pass on my message that: the whole customer experience was appalling, the bank had breached the T&C of the offer and if there was no resolution quick smart I would be referring to the FOS. A day later received a call from a "Quality Management Specialist" who followed up and the called me by COB that day. Next day points were in my account tagged "JETSTAR PLATINUM MASTERCARD".

The silver lining - the initial 20k sign up points were given twice so in the end received 60k points + 2 QP passes for $99. :)

I decided at the last minute to apply for this offer. I applied on Tuesday, what is the rough eta for them to get back to you?
I need to be approved before the 31 before this offer expires.

Finally received 20k bonus (78 days after 1st spend, instead of 60). 5 phone calls, 2 escalations.
Now have to wait for the next 20k (after 5k spend).

Well at least I did not have to chase them up I just got a rejection letter. I guess I knew that was a possibility as we probably have 50k in credit card limits even thou the actual amount owing is 2k.

Oh well not ment to be....be self employed interesting when it comes to the banks.
