Yes, but isn’t Christmas/Cocos worth it?A 4-hour flight on a packed VARA A320.
The horror.
That was Dec/Jan and yes they were great. Not a full aircraft either (even around Xmas/NY) so plenty of middle seats free.Yes, but isn’t Christmas/Cocos worth it?

I actually used buses in Paris recently because it was quicker and less hassle than walking 15 minutes across a metro stationUsed the Paris Metro with luggage. Must have gone either up or down at least 8 sets of stairs. Next time in Paris it’s going to be a taxi or Uber.
Have done the same mistake in London, as well. Need to choose the accommodation location better next time around...Used the Paris Metro with luggage. Must have gone either up or down at least 8 sets of stairs. Next time in Paris it’s going to be a taxi or Uber.
London is *slightly* better since they’ve made a lot of Tube stations “step free”. It can be a Magical Mystery tour getting to / from platforms via hidden elevators but better than following the masses through that best of British over engineered infrastructure!Have done the same mistake in London, as well. Need to choose the accommodation location better next time around...
Taipei was another where I was stung by stairs. Lucky they were a lot shorter and right in front of the hotel.
We got as far as the bus first, only to be told the bus route was suspended because of a political demonstration.I actually used buses in Paris recently because it was quicker and less hassle than walking 15 minutes across a metro station
Just remember, happy wife; happy life!We got as far as the bus first, only to be told the bus route was suspended because of a political demonstration.
At that point I suggested a taxi but was told by Mrs Bashworth we had got the Paris tickets and were going to use them!
Go to the supermarket to find it closed for the May Day holiday
Queenslanders.Supermarket closed all day for May Day? What are they, Bolsheviks?
Yes I got caught because it was the Paris Marathon and the buses weren't running on the route I wanted. We got as far as the bus first, only to be told the bus route was suspended because of a political demonstration.

You get to see things on the underground too, admittedly it's largely darknessYes I got caught because it was the Paris Marathon and the buses weren't running on the route I wanted.
I also like buses because you get to see things
I heard its a functional cemetary because of the land shortage and the tunnels are literally built with bones (saw on Nat Geo or the likes lol)You get to see things on the underground too, admittedly it's largely darkness

If that was me, I'd assume it was an attempt to balance the plane without causing offence but you are a lighter individual than meChecking in for an Avianca flight. The agent "helpfully" suggests that she has a window seat a couple of rows forward, and asks if I'd like to move there. I agree.
Once airside, I realised that I originally had a row to myself, and now have two seat neighbours. The flight is nearly empty so it really wasn't necessary to move.
As if one individuals weight matters to counterbalance the planes wait...or does itIf that was me, I'd assume it was an attempt to balance the plane without causing offence but you are a lighter individual than me
