Sorry but I don't think I would want to do LHR - PER direct in a premium cabin, let alone in Y :p

I note it's a fun comment! ...

But still, I can honestly say that my 18+ hours non-stop flights on SQ's SIN-EWR-SIN service (the longest flights in the world at the time) in J class were two of the most relaxing long haul flights I've ever travelled. The extensive quiet times on-board meant you got true rest and sleep when you actually felt like it. I was dreading the flights before I actually took them. They were great! And on QF in J, they'll even provide the PJs. On SQ, I wore my QF ones...

You'll be fine I've done EWR-HKG in PE and it was fiiine - I was delirious on arrival but I survived long enough to get straight on a connecting flight to SIN for a full days work the next day! Points upgrade nearly didn't clear which would have been fun in Y (CX decided I needed to change my First name to include my middle name....)

Not sure about Anna but I seriously wouldn't even contemplate 18+ hours in a premium cabin. 13-14 hours is about as long as I want in any cabin. My attention span lasts ~6-7 hours at best. The rest is not fun.

JessicaTam is one tough lady.

Do you ever travel in a premium cabin (J, F) JohnK? Your attention span could be quit adequately catered for on most long hauls - close eyes and (try to) sleep.

15 hrs SYD-YVR is a great relaxing flight (in J).

I have never slept in a F cabin longer than 5 hours. And even then quite restless. Maybe I should start drinking alcohol which I don't do while on an aircraft.

From a previous thread:

Very nice trip report but reading this report one thing is very clear in my mind.

I love travel. I love cramped cabins. I love meeting and talking with people in cramped cabins. I love complaining about cramped cabins.

Absolutely no rush to try any of this "Suites" stuff. I don't need/crave the seclusion. Not sure I ever will. Sorry to go off track from your lovely trip report.
