Are OWE meant to get Free standard seat selection at booking on MH?

I was just looking at KUL-PEN and entered my QFF OWE #, and its giving me options for MYR20 for preferred seats and MYR10 for standard seats?

Gibberish coming through from MH on QFF account...WTF:shock:???

I'm guessing the double-up is the double points deal. But since when were there -ve cabin bonuses?

For the viewers at home, I was paid in J, despite the discount Y claim, so at least they got the status credits right, and the (larger) base miles are about right if you add back the -ve cabin bonus...

Cheers skip

Skip,

Doing some calculations the -ve cabin bonus is 25% of the flight miles. So the flight is 4,022 miles and you earn 75% in J from KUL to Australia, so the first lot post correctly as 3,017 (4,022*.75), and the bonus double post as the full miles and they then reduce it by the -ve cabin bonus. Bit of an odd way of doing it but that is what they appear to have done.

While the DEL-KUL flights get full points plus cabin bonus, as they are not between KUL and Australia or Europe.

Yeah that makes sense to me, many thanks for that.

Showing it all as discount Y will confuse many, no doubt QFF's CSOs will be having an entertaining time...

Cheers skip.

Looks like it to me.
You got 3087 (4115*0.75) as per the earning table.
Bonus double points are the 4115-1028 = 3087.
Then the total is 6174 (3087*2)

Oh yes I see now. I was mistakenly thinking a the 4115 was the base and that the 0.75 was a cabin bonus. But I see that isn't the case.

Thanks for pointing it out.

Hi, I am wondering if I can book MH flights using qff points? Shall I call them? Does anybody know what is the reward seat availability (is it the same as for MH rewards) and how many qff I would need for the leg from Perth to coughet (business)? Thank you in advance

....and how many qff I would need for the leg from Perth to coughet (business)?
I have tried a number of dates online and the most common routing offered is PER-HKG-HKT on combination of CX/KA and requires 156000 QFF points for a return classic partner business award.

You will need to call to check the MH options available.
