'MASSIVE' Qantas Sale

This is more like what normal business class prices should be, rather than whatever astronomical amounts are usually charged.

Agreed, just checked and most of SQ's J fare MEL-SIN are around $3800~$4200 return, however this is not a sale this is their normal price. (Whereas Qantas under this sale is around $3500 return, when no sale is on then $6500+) . Goes to show how Qantas are a rip off when it comes to Intl J. Saying that I do use Qantas J sometimes(until they withdrew QF51 SIN-BOM recently now I have no choice but to fly SQ J), but have done a lot more SQ J flying due to my previous companies corporate deal with SQ.

No wonder why their International operations are loss making, their fares are priced out of the market for a lot companies especially large ones go for SQ and VA.etc for J nowadays due to better corporate deals.

Disappointingly, there are no good Y+ deals. Although they appear on the sale page, these are the same T class offers that have been around for weeks. Where's my 2-4-1 T class sale???

Given SQs loss and lower yield, I am not sure your points are valid.

Looks like VA may have brought down Dom J in response to this. Can see PER-MEL down to $949. No need for a companion.

Phenomenal. Just as I was about to book an itinerary for two! My only thought is... do these business class domestic sales happen yearly? Is there a pattern to them?

I got a MEL-SIN-MEL on Qantas last week for about $4200 not on sale ("Exclusive Business"). SQ was almost exactly the same price if you take the 777 flights but added an extra $300 if you go for the A380s.

No wonder why [QF's] International operations are loss making, their fares are priced out of the market for a lot companies especially large ones go for SQ and VA.etc for J nowadays due to better corporate deals.

Not to mention that SQ's long-haul J product is vastly superior to Qantas's, especially on the A380s.

Excellent timing. Wanted 2 J Class tickets from ADL-LAX return and the only fares were Virgin at $7600 and Qantas was $9300.

Now at $5500 for Qantas on the A380 it's a no brainer for me. Though I would of prefered returning via MEL rather than SYD and that is not on special. Oh well still a great deal I'll grab. Just hope there are some good seats selections still available on my flights.

I'm trying to book tsv-bne return in prescribed time according to sale travel dates but when I enter through the domestic global sale area it comes up with the normal fares. What am I doing wrong? cheers

I've been looking for flights ADL-SIN in October for 6. I don't think this sale is any cheaper. I put the numbers, sale fares available, in an it came out at ~$25000. I'm sure that is the price I've been getting previously.

So I can get to JFK in Sept for $11xx_ for two people in J compared to $9xx_ on the same dates for one person ... hmmm ...

or I can get PE for 2 people, same dates for $8xx_ ...

all on QF planes.

OMG VA have just reduced their J class fares to LAX by half and best of all, I can book one seat for me, myself and I :):p

Oh bugger... No sorry they've match QF. 2 pax travel together to obtain cheaper fares. Why couldn't VA offer something different instead of matching QF? ...oh well back to the drawing board :(

A sale that covers school holidays & x-mas is something to get excited about.

Now, only need to decide if it's LAX,LHR,HGK,SIN.......won't be BKK:( sloped J beds - so last year;)
