Max Bundle - didn't get the qantas points or status credits

I have two questions for those who have successfully resolved this
1) what code ends up on the boarding pass instead of QFFP?
2) do you keep the voucher also?!

So the code on the boarding passes I have is QFFP for the ticket I got 3K to 're-confirm' would earn SC and points and the one in dispute instead said TIA. I still have the vouchers, may try and use them in the future but don't have specific plans for them as I wasn't expecting them.

Just read the entire thread. I took 3k516 as a status run, and ended up with the 400b voucher and have since gone to claim missing flight. pending outcome

Wonder if they will still work?
I haven't used any of the vouchers yet (as haven't needed to book Jetstar) but seems to when I do a mock booking at the payment section. When I was corresponding with Jetstar, they were very emphatic with me that once the vouchers were issued, they couldn't be cancelled.

Glad I saw this thread earlier. I have had the something happen with JQ (not 3K). This is on a single booking return to Narita. I changed the return flight to return a day early. Having seen this thread I checked before confirming that the revised itinerary said Qantas points as the reward. I can't find a photo of this on my phone (stupid me).
I also did not see an option to change the reward during the change process. Emailed new itinerary is showing my QF number against both flights. Return boarding pass does not have QFFP. I got a voucher.

In summary:
  • JQ Fl;ights
  • Original flight had QF points selected
  • QFFP on outbound boarding pass and Qantas points credited
  • Website showed QF as the reward for both flights during the process to change the return flight
  • No option to choose reward when doing the change.
  • QF number still on both flights in itinerary
  • No QFFP on return boarding pass, no points but voucher. In fact no code only BA30 which was on both BP
Obviously, the change to itinerary has messed up the IT system. But can happen on JQ not just 3K.

I have submitted a case for reward with JQ. internet chat person could not help, only raise a case. I will try a missing points claim with Qantas.

I also find it strange/annoying that when changing flights they demand I buy the max bundle AGAIN.

One question I do have for the community and I don't think it's discussed elsewhere is whether this "glitch" where you receive a voucher instead of QF points/status credits is unique to JetStar Asia (3K) or if it is across the JetStar portfolio?
Seems it can also happen with JQ

Hopefully you report back your experience.

With JQ I always buy two one-way tix rather than a return tix. I always buy the max bundle. If I want to change a leg I’m only dealing with that leg. I also always book the new flight afresh, and then cancel the old flight. Yes, I end up with a flight credit but they last 3 years and I fly enough with JQ that I’ll use the flight credit within the 3 years. It also means, in relation to this case, that I’m selecting QANTAS points with the new booking.

The reason I do it this way is to minimise the amount of complications that can arise.

That's great. Personally I don't want to have JQ flight credits.
Also the Qantas points came in for the outbound flight perfectly fine.

The lack of a way to nominate points when changing a flight is a problem with the JQ IT systems. I should know better. But also I did check qantas points was showing for both flights before I paid for the new flight. My bad for not getting a screenshot

If you book a return trip with Jetstar with Max bundle, you can change/cancel the sectors individually. Also if you cancel the entire trip you'll receive two vouchers - one for each sector.

This might be more beneficial as if there is a significant schedule change, you could request a full cash refund on both sectors this way.

That’s a good point about being able to get a full cash refund for both sectors in the event of a significant schedule change on one of them. I don’t mind having a few JQ vouchers as I fly JQ enough that I burn through them easily. I always book MAX bundle when flying JQ as it creates good flexibility and you get DSCs compared to QANTAS.

This has just happened to me too, on a JQ flight KIX-CNS. As if I would choose a $25 voucher instead of 9,800 points and 60 SC.

Based on the suggestions in this thread I will lodge a missing points claim and see what happens.

This is what I did earlier in the year and had no issue getting the SCs and points.

Being aware of this thread I had the 3K check in agents read my Qantas number back to me for the 2 flights I had over the last couple of days.

I am now the proud owner of virtually worthless "vouchers".

As per this thread I'll wait a week and put in a claim.

I've got a JQ flight booked for next year PER>HKT, i've booked a plus bundle and added my QFF details at booking.

However I can't see anywhere in MMB or emails from JQ where it mentions QFF. Am i blind or do they not show this?

Same for me but it's showing in the booking confirmation email
