First time I've ever had proper flu and I never want to do that again.

Status for social events is used to indicate whether you are able to come along or not:

Platinum - You couldn't keep me away with wild horses
Gold - I should be able to make it as long as nothing unforeseen happens
Silver - I won't be able to come unless a fairy godmother waves a magic wand
Bronze - No hope as I am on the other side of the planet and all flights have been grounded

Copper - A special status for a particular AFFer who can never seem to make up his mind what he is doing until the day of the event - and even then struggles.

Aaha, that makes sense now. I was thinking that people were segregated on their QF status or their number-of-posts status. At least this function looks like I don't have to have a Masters degree in sommelier-ism (CAN II was sounding a bit too daunting for a newbie like me! ).

I'll tentatively say a silvery type of Gold - white gold - how's that for decisiveness? (actually depends on how many patients walk in the door at 5 minutes to closing).
