You've already given a more definite answer than penegal. So I'm not sure that it fits

... and before that it 'Cafe K' (where I was a regular luncher) the operators of which opened Kri Kri next door ... for a while running them in parallel. If I recollect this restaurant was formerly Oyster on Little Bourke when I used to frequent it and was known for it's great steaks as well as it's oyster bar happy hour. ...
I feel like there is someone missing from the Platinum list as I have 7 people listed...
I have updated post #1 with the current attendees. Blackcat20, please let me know if I missed anyone.
Staff have blocked out my Friday evening appointments so I can say a definite bright shiny gold.
I just remembered that #1 son is on QF93 to LAX/SFO on the following Sat morning; I've been discussing FFPs and SCs with him as he's only 23 and can certainly achieve LTS or higher in the next few years.
He learns fast - is now grumpy he'll fall short of silver by 10SC so will need to do a status run to LST on return to see his brother to garner the extra SCs he needs: grumpy because he flew J* to ADL in March and didn't pay the $19 or whatever to get SCs for that flight.
I'm still Gold. Half the job's done...booked hotel. Other half, flights, to be sorted tonight.
If I recollect this restaurant was formerly Oyster on Little Bourke when I used to frequent it and was known for it's great steaks as well as it's oyster bar happy hour. The cooking was more French influenced in those days but I think it still maybe the same chef who wanted to get back to his Italian roots. I'm back in town from my travels on June 21 so should be able to make this event if there is still space available but please colour me Gold for now.

cafe K was definitely in the location ... it was a regular haunt of mine some 15 years ago.Was Cafe K in that premises or Mrs Parmas?

What's not to like about a Friday night dinner?Back on topic - I am still copper.
I generally don't like Friday night dinners, so we will see how things go. Also, not sure if I am travelling that week...
I am definitely in Melbourne the following night for the racing club ball. Are any of you going?

Mr Up and I are running away (to a place without phone or internet ) for the weekend of the 26th so I'll have to downgrade to bronze.
Have a great night and I look forward to the pictures when we get back
