Also on Orbitz.

I'm guessing this has something to do with the fuel fines being rolled into base fares.

It seems unlikely this will be honoured, good luck though :)

I've a QF PNR, selected seats and all looks normal so I'm not sure why this won't be honored.

I don't know if legally QF have to honour mistake fares. Just having it ticketed doesn't mean it can't be unticketed again. It's certainly been done by other airlines.

Note that the US DoT is no longer requiring airlines to honour mistake fares.

So like I said, good luck, but I wouldn't be pre-paying for any non-refundable hotels if it was me :)

In that case will hold off till booking some yups for a while, just in case.

MEL-LAX return on QF in Y for not very much

A day after the QF sales end, and there's a crazy low fare for return economy MEL-LAX.

EDITED: I've removed details of this fare for now; what's the policy on posting what may be a mistake fare, given than it may go away when it's revealed? Seeking input from the moderators and/or longtime forum users.

A friend of mine posted this on FB – I don't know if he found it on another forum or not. And I have no idea if this is a mistake fare and whether it will be honoured or not. It would certainly open up a lot of very lucrative US status runs, if you're into that sort of thing.

Re: MEL-LAX return on QF in Y for not very much

Already a thread

i think this is going to work - the number of deep sales being run at present seems to indicate a big drop in international travel from Aus, QF may be happy just to get these seats covered for cashflow rather than flying them empty

all those BR fares that were honoured may be a good indicator - fingers crossed

Ah, thanks. Mods, feel free to merge or delete this thread. Apologies for the duplication.

orbitz showed a message "cancel for FREE before 10:00 PM CT Wed, Jul 1.". Does this translate to 1 pm July 2 for us?

This could be a handy get out, if 14 hrs in Y is too hard.

I think these fares will be honoured. Its not like theyre selling F fares for $10.

And I just booked two return flights on the sale fares that ended at midnight. I wonder if it's worth booking another at these prices and canceling last night's for future credit. Thoughts?
