Ok for example I'm looking at arriving 3PM on Thursday 9th Oct. Flight home lands at 1AM on Friday 17th. Rather than picking say 2AM Friday, I may as well pick 3PM Friday 17th as it's the same price as 2AM... and this way weather I arrive on time and leave at 2AM or am delayed for a few hours and leave before 3PM there will be no excess charges? If we depart after 3PM then we just pay hourly rate from 3PM.... does that all sound correct?

Yep... I guess just making sure there is no flaw in my logic of setting the exit time as late as possible...

With the Jetstar code I get $120+CC surcharge for the undercover MEL LTCP for 8 days... United want $125 (no surcharge)... So similar price... Any other vouchers better to use for MEL LTCP?

I was just reading the T&C which says

What payment methods are accepted when making online bookings?
Melbourne Airport accepts Visa, MasterCard, American Express and Dinners cards for payment of car park
online bookings. A credit card processing fee of 2% applies to all credit card transactions.

I wonder if there is a difference between flexi and non-flexi fares. I was about 90 minutes late to exit a few weeks ago and was surprised not to be charges extra. It was a flexi booking in the undercover car park.

Yes 2hr grace period now 1hr - gotta love those 'enhancements'. So I guess a little playing around with arr / dep times to maximise occupancy window would be quite prudent - I have never done this previously but certainly will in future.

Yep that's what i wanted to make sure I wasn't missing anything.. seems you can just round up to nearest 24hours and get same pre-pay price...

The Value Long Stay is in a different area and has its own bus service (only 1 stop). The bus doesn't run as often so you might wait longer.

As per above - Long Term transfer time 10-15mins and Value Long Break transfer time 20-30mins.

JETSTAR code not working for next year... get invalid code, seems to work for November this year.... Are these codes common? Any chance of one coming up for mid Jan? or should I just book now without one?

I used the jetstar code and paid $107 for five days at the longterm multilevel car park (~5min walk to terminal), happy with that !
