I got single day in long term for $10 which I thought was pretty reasonable.

Yes some cheap relates floating through - I am currently parked in the 'At Terminal' section - read 'Short Term' on level 2 10mtrs from bridge $73 for 8 days - BARGAIN!

You must have picked your arrival time well: I booked a similar deal starting last Wednesday morning (27/5), and after arriving round 0715 found myself driving around for 10+ mins before finally finding a spot on level 5 in the old long-term section.

Trying to book airport parking at MEL for Monday 5th July to Thursday 9th July and computer says NO! Nothing. Not even Valet Parking.

Looks like it is right. I've double-checked your dates and indeed seems all airport parkings are fully booked on the 5th (it's Sunday btw).

I had no problem booking the usual discounted fare at long term for the 7th but no upgrade offer to undercover this time (didn't get one last week either).

You should probably try one of the airport parking companies, plenty to choose from.

I had a booking for Jul 2-7 for the "at terminal" park; arrived round 1500 to find it showing "Full" on every level! And indeed it did seem to be; happily I was lucky enough to find a great spot on the ground level at the Qantas end which must have just been vacated. The long term park looked pretty full as I was driving in, so the situation described above may well be true!

Can someone confirm it's ok if we return early on booking we've already made?

Looking to book say a 3 week block but may only be 2 weeks.

No penalty for returning early - indeed I have returned 2 days late and no charge either - maybe just lucky.

I reckon there should be an additional charge for anyone travelling of school age during school holidays What a freedom it was when the restriction of only/mostly travelling in school holidays was lifted (the kids grew up). I never think about school holidays until booking something that comes back at a ridiculously high price, and then check.

I save the level and aisle numbers in the general notes function of the phone, and I have been glad more than once of doing so. I am not sure what more this app does than that, given I remember well enough what my car looks like without taking a photo.

That's exactly what I was thinking when checking out the app. Having said that, my trip on the long term bus to the terminal usually goes like this (in my head) :- section G, but get off at H - section G, but get off at H - section G, but get off at H. You get the idea...

WOW what a run I have had today - MEL locals will understand.

Left Parkdale at 13:00 and used cruise control whole way without once exceeding speed limit - parked in LT car park ($66 for 8 days) - walked to SQ check in and arr 14:00 - into Int Dep hall by 14:05 - not 1 other person at security conveyor to far left - no other pax in APEC queue so walked straight to immig counter - through immig at 14:08 - my cough parked in seat with Champs in hand in SKL F at 14:13! UFB!
