Re: The view from my "office"

Jealousy of Queenslanders love_the_life ;):p

No born in Sydney. In those days Melbourne was the enemy.
Now just get annoyed at all those Victorian caravanners holding us up in the cooler months.
A truckie that I met a few years ago when I asked what he was going to do in retirement said he was going to buy a very big caravan and drive around Victoria slowly.I don't think he was joking.

That's even worse :p

Queensland drivers are even worse than Victorian ones anyway ;)

Re: The view from my "office"

I should admit it, moved from Melbourne to Canberra some years ago so hold a soft spot for the place. Brother and sister both live in QLD though.

Re: The view from my "office"

Oh Melbourne people just think that they are the best at everything, invented everything, and the rest of the country wouldn't exist without them... once you accept that they are really quite nice :p;) :)

Different Tom.. different.. remember patience and tolerance in different cultures :) Queenslanders don't need to prove anything :p
As someone that lived in Caloundra I was ready to buy a death ray for Vic number plated cars with regard to clogging up the roads with their arrogance (yet no idea tourist attitude) and "The place to be" number-plates didn't do you any favours lol..
Federation never happened.. it was just a rumour started in primary school :p:)

Oh I'm as Victorian as you are. ;)

But you're right, Queenslanders are a different breed :p

And your point?
He he he
I must admit though (lot of that in my posts) that we couldn't live there again. Too busy. Barton does us fine! Never had even a slight hankering for a caravan or road trip to Qld.

Re: The view from my "office"

Being Victorian is awesome. No place like melbourne...

Re: The view from my "office"

Enjoying the banter between state drivers, but for me the difference is Country Vs City drivers.
We have a saying when we hit city traffic - "we are not in Kansas any more Toto"
Though being a truckies daughter, and driving 18 wheelers since I was 14 gives some prospective.
