Looks like a bad photo shop..........

Amazing some bloke in Yorkshire can spot it.

I thought the vessel looked more like a pipe-laying vessel or large cutter suction dredge than a rig (read drill-ship) as no derrick or cranes.

Looks like it may be an FPSO or variant. Can see a helideck port forward, a provisions crane starboard midships and a flare tower aft though don't hold me to it as the image is very washed out.

Ok, and mooring connector/turret one end. Possible.

Is it possible that nearly everybody was incapacitated expect for the person who flew the plane (we assume into the Indian Ocean) and glided the plane into water to minimise wreckage?

Well if you really are into conspiracy theories here is one of the best.I Jim Rickards book "the death of money" says on the 5th and 6th of September 2011 the stock of United Airlines went from a situation of about equal people shorting the stock to buying to a level of 12 to 1 it being shorted.Ie somebody knew the stock would go down.Similiar but not as great activity in AMR stock.
On the 3rd of March 2014 the stock of Malaysian airlines began to experience strong selling pressure.

Short interest and selling pressure are very different.

Selling pressure is not exactly correct either given that for every seller there is a willing buyer.

Increasingly sounding like we are all back at square one. Unless someone is in fact withholding some information.

Is it just me or does a 5 page "preliminary" report just not seem right?

But then why has the pinging stopped? Those turtles, whales and nets have all disappeared?

Also - If we can get a shark to ping from South Africa to Aus over a number of months why cant we create a battery capable of lasting more than a few weeks for the black box?

Surveys conducted have most people thinking were looking in the wrong area.
However almost 10% of Yanks believe Aliens have taken the plane.

Bizarrely, almost one in ten Americans also think “space aliens” we are involved in the disappearance.
The survey found that nine per cent of the respondents believe “space aliens or beings from another dimension were involved”.

Survey finds 77 per cent of Aussies don’t believe MH370 search teams are looking in the right area | News.com.au
