The US knows way more than we publicly know. The game is diplomacy and what each country will or will not share with each other. Shame that innocent peoples lives are just mere pawns within a bigger game......

If the plane has been stolen they should get Airplane Repo on the job.

If it was a plane load of Israelis they would have the plane back by now and the movie would be released next week.

I like the suggestion that Iran is involved. Politically china and Iran are friendly countries. China seem to be the wrong country to target. They could send over about 4 people to every Iranian and just say this is china now.

Okay, what amazes me is that Boeing, rolls Royce, MAS, Honeywell, Malaysian Govt, or any other group that that forms part of the plane or Wider picture don't have some kind of GPS tracking (regardless of what the pilot or anyone else on board turns on or off)!!!

We are talking about a >$200 million piece of equipment how can it just disappear!?

My thoughts as well.

The ability to "turn off" any sort of tracking / position information of a multi million dollar aircraft (asset) should not be allowed.
At all times I would of expected an airline to know where it's plane are.

Read about the possibility of an electrical fire and the need to turn off.
Makes sense, but I would of thought you would have a back up system in place - which then most likely comes down to cost.

I hate to add to the whirlpool of wild speculation, but is there potentially a Russia/Ukraine connection? The Kazakhstan/Turkmenistan corridor as described sounds roughly in line with a great circle between it's last known position in Malaysia and Crimea. There were two middle aged Ukrainian men on board according to the manifest. Obviously hijacking a plane full of Chinese people in Malaysia doesn't seem like the most straight forward way of affecting change 4000 miles away.

Happy to try and answer but I can't as I don't understand the context.
Angle of attack is purely an aerodynamic consideration.
The ceiling can be found from the Boeing web site or even Wikipedia.
Jet streams are not always consistent so there may or may not have been one present.

I did ask this a few days ago!

Are the 20 odd electronic warfare specialists part of the prize? Lots of talk about passport and border security, how much is there surrounding handling passenger manifests?

I tried watching on ABC24 but it just pixellates all the time like all the digital ABC channels. Does anyone else get this? Every other channel is fine except the four ABC channels. Been like this for weeks.

In case your wondering what that is all about, there were stories around earlier talking about the ping giving location, it looks like the ping actually says I am here waiting for instructions and I can see the immarsat at x number of degrees from the horizon. In this case its 40 degrees. I would imagine the red lines stop where its not possible for the aircraft to be based on time flown.

In this case its 40 degrees. I would imagine the red lines stop where its not possible for the aircraft to be based on time flown.

So between the red lines, is that a triangulation and the red lines are summations of what could have occurred?
