I'm actually a very good cook and have mastered a number of Luke Mangans dishes, I would give my left you know what for a private class with him for a night, even if it was cooking for you and the rest of this rowdy crowd of AFFers :-)

This sounds like a challenge. Maybe we need to find a venue to showcase your skills for a select group of AFF's
Sounds like a challenge for Bossreggie.

Many AFFers have sampled my cooking, usually at my home.

External organisation unneeded

Back on topic....

The news I want to share is...

I would officially like to announce that:

Mr Andrew Mason, the manager of Velocity Airline Partnerships who reports direct to the GM will be attending this event as our special guest and key note speaker!

Velocity have jumped in as our primary sponsor and have offered a to attend the event and also avail themselves to a Q&A on Velocity and their "Game Change Program!"

Thank you Velocity!

As a big round of applause and a big thank you, please consider your travel plans to the event to include Virgin Australia - mine certainly do!

Well my plans would have included VA, indeed I tried very hard to include them on the itinerary - but it all came down to cost. $$$ is king, and QF was significantly cheaper.

Great stuff. Already have my DJ flexi fares booked and upgraded with points. :) Definitely looking forward to hearing Andrew Mason.

Well done munitalP!

Great work munitalP on getting a high calibre guest speaker. Will look forward to his oration. Not sure that Mrs LW will feel quite the same, but she will be concentrating on the food.

she will be concentrating on the food.

As Sir Humphry Appleby would have said, very courageous comment Minister!

Congratulations munitalP for the speaker............but you can still count me in on a taste test when you and Luke have the cook-off at 20 paces. I eat anything, as long as I don't have to a) cook it, b) clean it or c) wash up after it......

Is this event still open to attend? Thanks
As far as I know, yes... however given the pre-work and organisation required, I think MutinalP would prefer accurate RSVPs ASAP...

Interrogative - a reply RE attendance MY2012 AFF D&D (Salt LM) @ Hilton SP (GC) would be needed ASAP .......
... Will check with 'her indoors' and see if I can go AWOL for the night ....

Can't speak for others, but I'm really looking forward to this get together. Sounds like a lot of fun. Coincidentally we'll be also staying for 4 days at HSW just prior to this event (23rd to 27th if anyone is around then)........can one get Hiltoned-out?

Likewise I am getting excited - but probably because I can't go on bossreggies' AKL weekend so this is the next best thing for me...

only when one loses their status, but for us all it's about retention - so unlikely.

I will be "around" then to close out the Australian financial year, however I will be staying at my house (a novelty for me).

If you want to do dinner/drinks one evening send me a PM... Did someone say Chilli?

On to more important issues, could someone clarify the menu? It was all run together and I've no idea about the deserts (I think I've sorted the entree and mains out though, but certainly not 100% there......chimchurri with barramundi ). Suggestions about just what is on the set menu???
