I just send the draft filing to their legal team by email. How do you submit a "draft" statement of claim? Presumably it avoids filing fees.

Makes sense. If I may ask, how do you find the Qantas legal team's email?I just send the draft filing to their legal team by email.

Thankyou - currently I have no need, but I was interested in this method of going a different route other than the usual consumer consumer tribunal (NCAT/VCAT/etc.) proceedings. It is likely others have more pressing considerations and may find your information helpful. If you would like the contacts for QFF GC and immediate team members below them for these purposes, please DM me.
Did you book and pay Biz upfront or did you take the “Promo” upgrade option?I think I may be having a similar issue with Qantas. Last year we booked an award flight on Qantas with BA. We then cancelled it about four months later, and received the points back less cancellation fees plus the copayment. A few days later we purchased a flight direct with BA in their 'business class'. We took this flight last week. Today in our activity, Qantas has stated 0 points 0 credits as we flew on an Award flight. Sigh. How does their IT system get it so badly wrong.
We paid for Business upfront. We didn't have a booking at that point so just a straight purchase. I've emailed their FF centre with full details etc. it's pretty obvious in the activity statement that the award flight was cancelled back in March.Did you book and pay Biz upfront or did you take the “Promo” upgrade option?
The later have started booking into “U” class - which is “Classic Reward” fare type as far as QF is concerned. Is the activity showing “Classic Reward”?
There’s some discussion over on FT.
Make sure you ascertain your fare class and can match it with the Airline Earning Table for British Airways. We paid for Business upfront. The cancelled booking is probably an unrelated coincidence. We paid for Business upfront. We didn't have a booking at that point so just a straight purchase. The activity statement specifically states Classic Flight Reward booking. But if BA are being dodgy....The cancelled booking is probably an unrelated coincidence.
Do you know what fare bucket it booked into? I’d start there and then here.

An upfront paid full Biz fare should have landed in CDIRJ bucket and earn J points and status credits. But if BA are fiddling with fare buckets, then there might be some other unintended consequences.
The other discussion about “Promo” upgrades appear to be that they no longer book into “I” but “U”.
That suggests it went through as “U”….The activity statement specifically states Classic Flight Reward booking. But if BA are being dodgy....
Not sure after the flight. They’re as bad as QF now not showing fare buckets. Nothing on my future booking emails and nothing clicking through. I could probably get the fare bucket of mine on rj.com but usually not possible once a trip is flown? How do I find the fare bucket?
Way too expensive for a U bucket There is nothing on the Invoice and booking email. Isn't this deceptive practise? That suggests it went through as “U”….

If you call Qantas, they can tell you the fare class of a past trip by reference to the 6 digit booking reference number.Way too expensive for a U bucket There is nothing on the Invoice and booking email. Isn't this deceptive practise?
BA boarding passes have the ticket number on there.Way too expensive for a U bucket There is nothing on the Invoice and booking email. Isn't this deceptive practise?
I have the ticket numbers just not the booking class. I'll try that, thanks PF.BA boarding passes have the ticket number on there.
If you send a picture of that along with your email invoice for the flight QFF should be able to sort it out for you.
I don’t think this is anything to do with cancelling the Award, it’s simply that BA have sent this across to QF as U class.
In my experience, such did book into U - about 7 years ago I paid for a POAG LHR-IST and it changed to U. Still received business SC's.The later have started booking into “U” class - which is “Classic Reward” fare type as far as QF is concerned. Is the activity showing “Classic Reward”?
Have you flown the full itinerary? Or just part with a return to follow? The activity statement specifically states Classic Flight Reward booking. But if BA are being dodgy....
How do I find the fare bucket?
I couldn’t find the record of my last one - a few years ago now. If they were always “U” it’s curious then how they credited as J SCs / pts in the past?In my experience, such did book into U - about 7 years ago I paid for a POAG LHR-IST and it changed to U. Still received business SC's.
AY was able to show me fare bucket for a future reservation (no details on either UL nor RJ).Have you flown the full itinerary? Or just part with a return to follow?
Putting e-ticket and/or PNR into the various OW "manage my booking" can sometimes show info that QF (and BA?) do not. Have to click on other links in these web sites.
QR Qatar - accepts e-ticket. Many airlines MMB do not
