And by chili I mean the plant extract not the dog. I also claim victory in the chili eating contest. I'm sure that I will regain feeling in my mouth sometime shortly ...

Rofl to Mal and awilcockson...

The chilli contest was epic, AFFers definety like their chillis

Hope you are all behaving yourselves

Cheers :)

I was able to have a quick chat on Skype from the Singapore QF/BA first lounge at least the wifi was working better than it is in Australia.

I hope Sam brought out some of the good alcohol.

Everyone seemed to be well behaved, now they can start drinking in earnest.

Thanks samh004 for a great afternoon and night.

Also good to catch up with the other attendees. Thanks guys.

Hi Sam, thanks for the invite and your hospitality! We had a fun time...........but disappointed I missed the chilli contest (not to mention what sounds like Mal getting a "Chilli" massage"........wasn't in the pool was it ........

Top evening, always good to catch up with fellow AFFers and meet others too......thanks all! Was it a late night??

A big thank you to samh004 for organizing this, and the great hospitality. I had a very enjoyable afternoon/evening of eating, drinking, swimming, chilli eating contest and some wayward Christmas bon-bons. As always it was great to catch up with old friends as well as meet swanning_it for the first time.

Attendees were:
Samh004 +2
awilcockson
Mal
LiamR
anat0l
penegal
swanning_it
+1.5 :p

Skype attendees:
BundyBear from HKG

My hair is yet to go white so I think Sam's pool cleaning abilities are up to scratch :p

I was very slow out of bed this morning, but made it up to BNE to get some good lounge time (although no alcohol was consumed due to a strange painful sensation in my forehead) before a pleasant enough QF flight home in 1C

Once again, thanks all

Didn't involve Chilli (the dog), but rather a display of bravado involving chilli sauces. I did learn that I am a mere mortal compared to someone...

I left around 11pm.

As I said earlier, was a great afternoon. Will have to buy some of the chilli sauces involved and start practising.

And foolish me always thought you had to go camping to see a ring burner

+1 for this. It was nice catching up with everybody. I regained vision around midday after seeing penegal, take his shirt off and jump into the pool.

Loved the NNPPP (Did I get that right? Non Neil Perry Party Pies), sorry I had to run off before the chilli eating competition.

Thank you for your lovely hospitality samh004 and hope our paths cross again in the future.

(Ps. You forgot to add anat0l to the attendance list.)

Endorphin Rush is on my shopping list.

After Sam added 5 drops to an entire jar of Salsa I thought it added a nice kick.

I tried a drop with my steak and felt a bit of a tingle.

The following decision to completely cover a piece of sausage in it left me with blurred vision and streaming eyes. Awesome ;)

My sight has now thankfully returned to normal ;)

LOL, is that why you went to the wrong Cinema? Blinded? :p

Look closely, he is below you, and above me in both the initial post and your quote :p

The salsa was good, should remember that trick. It went down well with the meat, although I had less than you.

Also, I forgot to thank awilcockson. In addition to his love of chilli, he was the BBQ-master

As is Byron Bay "Fiery Coconut Chilli Sauce with Curry & Ginger" (That's the correct one isn't it?)

I knew we were in good company!

Major recommended that to us in another thread months ago and I bought some of it and added a healthy quantity to some sauage mince which Lisa and I stuffed a pork roll with for a camp oven cooking competition we entered in Casino. No kidding, we won! Fabulous stuff!

I've bought a bottle of the next step up (Byron Bay Heavenly Habenero Chilli Sauce and Mango.......extra hot) and haven't opened it yet! It sounds really great and I've been a little hesitant to try it in case my wild expectations of culinary pain are dashed......not to mention we still have some of the medium hot "Fiery Coconut with Curry and Ginger" left. Wonderful stuff for the taste buds (or lack thereof)!

Not sure if it was the reds or the mint juleps, but something made me forget to post this classic memory from the afternoon.

Sam shall hereafter be known as "crocodile hunter" after diving into the pool to retrieve this cranky not so little critter.
