Belated notice, but thanks to samh004 for hosting the BBQ on the weekend. Lots of fun and some nice reds (and not so nice ones) were consumed.

And who could forget the chilli eating contests

Not sure if it was the reds or the mint juleps, but something made me forget to post this classic memory from the afternoon.

Sam shall hereafter be known as "crocodile hunter" after diving into the pool to retrieve this cranky not so little critter.

Oh god, never going to live that one down…

Thanks to everyone that came along, it was a great afternoon/evening and I do wish I could have started it as an annual event, ah well.

Ahhh yes, the lizard. What a funny moment. I'll never forget when Sam let him go, reminding us it's all good, nothing could possible go wrong. When Mal (I think?) suggested he might run through the back door.

Moments later Samh004 said "Oh S#*@ Somebody close the back door, quuuuuuuick!"

As was mentioned, I was potentially taking a long trip upstream, but have managed to avoid that. I took December off anyway to sort things out and am back online now.

I shall potentially turn this into an annual BBQ… though if anyone is interested, the RACV Ladies Masters Golf is on soon (Feb) and Helipacific is on in May, both on my doorstep and I’m happy to host/provide free tickets

A Champagne Arrival has been suggested but is yet to come to fruition.
