I think the required time has past so I will take a stab. I do not need lounge passes.

2. SYD
3. In Canada?
4. CMB
5. ??
6. I think I have been through this one
7. In Africa?
8. Most likely been here as well
9. VIE

DOH, SYD, CMB and VIE are correct.

#3 is indeed in Canada. Somewhere quite northerly.

And yes, I do think you have been to #8. Very recently, in fact. ;)

I have now worked this one out and the fact that I thought I had been there clearly demonstrates how little attention I pay to airport surroundings. It Is KGC and I was there a week ago :)

The Simpsons clue was good. I missed it, thinking it was referring to the teddy looking like Homer. Doh! indeed

#1 was easy given I have this from my photo collection.

#2 was another I am familiar with and @SYD provided a good hint. I am in the OW camp so the only time I venture down to that end of the woods is to fly EK codeshare or rewards (mainly the later) and the occasional SQ flight.

I actually didn’t immediately recognise #2 (it had been a while and not just Covid). It looked familiar then I saw the NZ lounge and it all came flooding back!

I just want the answer to #6 as it is doing my head in. When MissM came from school today (I had @Mattg #6 photo opened on one of the screens) she immediately commented 'we have been there' and to make matters worse MrsM followed in a few minutes latter and commented 'that looks familiar'. I asked them where is this and the answers were not helpful, in their words:
  • MissM's words or along the lines as a young teenager - How would I know, we have been there, I have to go wherever you go.
  • MrsM's words or along the lines of - seems similar, I'm sure we have been there.
There is a part of me that hopes #6 photo is from a place that we have/not been too and win/ concede the internal family battle.

So have you been there.

Looks like the only airports which remain to be guessed are #3 and #7.

I've already given a hint about #3 (it's in northern Canada). I'll give a further hint to say that it's not uncommon to see buffaloes at this airport.

#7 is quite close to Kruger National Park and has Handy Daily Services to both Johannesburg and Cape Town.

I figured it was one or the other but I’ve only ever driven past HDS.

Hoedspruit is correct.

(Is "the other" one you're referring to Nelspruit or Skukuza?)
Yes, Nelspruit but I just realised that there is the newer MQP down there also. I don’t recall ever seeing internal ZA flights to that one?
