Keep pigeons for emergencies!
Might be good for a day or two but you'd get pretty hungry quickly...unless you had a lot of them.

Ahhh, that explains why its so elusive in these partsIt's made from non-cannabanoid plants I believe?
This "pause" option is a good find, thanks. Will really suit me, but not until later this year. I searched their referral t&c, states...I don't know of any other ISP that allows you to pause a service.
Just be aware that you can only pause for up to 60 days. When we are away longer, I just log into my account via my mobile, unpause for a day or two then pause again.
PM me if you ever want a referral, I'm pretty sure we both get something.
I only signed up about 2 years ago when we moved house. This "pause" option is a good find, thanks. Will really suit me, but not until later this year. I searched their referral t&c, states...
However there are a few of rules (of course!) :-
So may not apply to "grandfathers" (plan).
- This discount is only received if both the person referred to us and the person who referred them are both on the new plans (plans since April 2018). So if you’re on the Legacy plans you may want to consider moving

Valid advice for any sensitive electronics. Unfortunately, we are not always home so a surge protector is recommended. If a lightning storm is imminent in your area, turn your NBN set off.
Looks like my NBN modem is fried after the lightning last night in Adelside.
Was working great till the storm came, and now NBN modem is ticking like a clock...
Not funny, as the 2nd light keeps blinking red.
Have tried everything, turned it off and on, replaced, even checked outages, none in my area.
Contacted my ISP, they are sending someone out on Fri, so am using lots of data for banking and bill paying, checking em emails etc.
Reddit and other websites show it’s a known issue, but ISP not too keen on sending me new modem, instead sending techie out.
Oh, Poochie. You’ve given an old thread new life.If a lightning storm is imminent in your area, turn your NBN set off …

Lightning is generally not a problem with NBN FTTP service. But lightning can impact power and damage anything connected to the power infrastructure. Lightning has always been a problem for ADSL/VDSL/HFC (all copper to the home) services. I had a modem destroyed with we had FTTP/VDSL service. Was just another ++ for upgrading to FTTP when it was made available to us.If a lightning storm is imminent in your area, turn your NBN set off.
