New 100 Year anniversary Q Tags

Marietta Faye came through with the goods - one 100 year design tag arrived in the mail today.

Has anyone tried requested a second tag?
Well I just requested a first tag, using the "upcoming travel", "tag not working" and "want contactless checkin" approach and I still got the bog standard "we are not sending out tags and cards due to COVID" email response. Feeling despondent. Anyone with any more ideas I could try?

Freshly minted WP for first time after arriving in CNS on Saturday. Now really hoping to receive shiny new 100 Year Anniversary Q Tags and possibly a telegram from the Queen 😁✈️🍾🥂 on the way from CNS-BNE the CSO asked me how on earth I had managed to go from SG to WP in the year we have had and with 2 months to spare. Couldn't divulge my cunning game plan but told her it was a secret and still cost a fistful of $$$$ and that I was basically reinvesting said money into the domestic market. Managed to pull this off despite not flying for 7.5 months and having 4 overseas trips in my anniversary year cancelled. Cheers AFF'ers 🍻

It appears Qantas may have "enhanced" membership packs for those attaining status to now only include 1 instead of the usual 2 Q Bag Tags. Can anyone else confirm?

My Mum was only sent one when attaining Silver status and the updated Status pages on qantas.com only reference a singular tag:

i.e. "Complimentary Q bag tag" on Qantas Gold - Member Benefits | Qantas Frequent Flyer

I recenlty made Platinum for the first time and was rewarded with 1 only Q Bag Tag! Pretty ordinary I thought :rolleyes:
 
I emailed a request for 2 new Plat Q tags yesterday after being rejected 3 months ago....Jennifer responded in the affirmative but said 1 bag tag only....wouldn't mind the 100 year anniversary one. :)
 
Just emailed my request to the center. Moved to Gold for the first time on 02/12/2020. 15 days before they resumed sending them for members attaining a higher tier. Hopefully, get them soon before my mid-April travel if I don't get denied.

Don't forget to ask for the full membership pack, not just the tag so you get your card as well.

That was quick. For anyone in the same situation (Attained a higher status laster year (Between April and 17 December) I said ""Members who attained a new tier before 17 December can request their attain kit by contacting the Qantas Frequent Flyer Service Centre." As I moved to Gold for the first time on 2/12/2020 and have upcoming travel booked I would like to request, subject to the terms a Bag Tag to avoid check-in counters." Although what appears to be AJ's sister might just be in a good mood. I think the website quote might help because have tried previously and they simply said they aren't sending an FF kits.

If you have any other QF bag tags these will also work and will still link to your gold status. All the tags work exactly the same the colour makes no difference.

If your membership kit includes a physical card, delivery takes 10 to 14 working days. If your kit hasn't arrived within this timeframe, please call the Qantas Frequent Flyer Service Centre where a member of our team will confirm your postal address and order you another card.

If you needed further help, you can call 13 11 31; have your QFF number and PIN ready when you call. If you are outside of Australia, visit qantas.com/contactfrequentflyer for your local contact number.

I had a recent interaction with Manolo after asking for a second WP Q Bag Tag after obtaining status for the first time. He/She wants me to join Qantas in saving the world:

I digress and have a warped way of thinking. When I read this the first thing that sprung to mind was Denis Leary and "Asshole" from the mid 90s and the lines "Sucking down Quarter Pounder cheeseburgers from McDonalds In the old fashioned non-biodegradable styrofoam containers"

I suspect that Denis sprang to mind as about 6-8 weeks ago I listened to a presentation from the Environmental BU informing staff that "as we prepare to travel again the travel policies will be adjusted to ensure we meet our environmental goals/ commitments." There was other waffle but the gist of the presentation was moving forward all long haul international will be in Y. I get angle the Environmental BU are coming from, they do not get the opportunity travel that much and when they do seem to make it known that they travel in Y. Others in the business are just put on planes at short notice. Just sounds like cost cutting.

For those not familiar with Denis, he may have been original DYKWIA type :)
