I enjoy the horizon club very much... Happy to book that as minimumWould be nice to have the four seasons promotion too. I've heard it was available to the US members.

Villingili, Maldives
Paris
Island, Hong Kong
China World Summit Wing, Beijing
Pudong, Shanghai
Tokyo
Singapore
Vancouver

Amex likes to give us gifts that only a small number of us will actually use. That way they appear very generous at minimal cost.
Why else would they exclude the Shangri-La Sydney which is on the list of available hotels for centurions in other countries.
They did the same with Orient Express hotels last year.

Some great benefits received today for 15 luxury properties in Aust. Looks like Mr, Mrs and Little Sparoz is heading down to the Blue Mountains instead of Vomo Island after getting flights to NAN from BNE which arrives and leaves at a reasonable hour is proven to be a headache.

Was that offer via the post, email or Concierge?

Sorry, 15 boutique properties now have complimentary inclusions, received from post today. Lizard Island, qualia, Spicers Clovelly Estate, Spicers Peak Lodge, Pretty Beach House, Emirates Wolgan Valley, Capella Lodge, Lake House, Saffire, Cape Lodge, Sal Salis, The Louise, Southern Ocean Lodge, Longitude 131, Bamurru Plains Lodge.

Not all inclusions are equal, but some stands out: Wogan Valley Resort, Blue Mountains - book two nights you get the third night for free plus degustation dinner for two; the Lake House, Daylesford - book three nights you get a complimentary water spa, plus degustation menu (their food is really amazing); The Louise, the Barossa - book three nights and you receive two night complimentary dinner, a five course chef's tasting menu with wine pairing, and a three course meal from the seasonal selection menu. Now, most other properties inclusions are still worth a few hundred bucks, but to me these are the standouts.

Sorry to burst your bubble but lowly Charge card members got the same offer as welll....had to fish my offer out of the bin to confirm that indeed we were offered the same properties above with same benefits;)

Wolgan Valley already had 3 for 2 before (see the Spring 2012 Centurion magazine) and it includes all meals anyway. So the extra is only the degustation over the normal 5+ course dinner. Still a very nice offer and Wolgan Valley is always great. Sometimes they have 50% off, currently with Mr and Mrs Smith, I believe.

Ah well, in that case I can't count this towards the Cent benefits when reviewing the card next year.

Yep can confirm plat charge card has the same offer. I have the charge card and I received it as well in the mail. Not that I am going to utilise it though.

And of course some of the offers are available to anyone anyway - the Stay 4 pay 5 at Lizard Island is available free to all on the Lizard Island website.

Last post I will make in this thread - but I will start a new 2013 Centurion Benefits thread.

Anyways in relation to the 'Exclusive Gift to You' voucher for USD500 at 8 participating Shangr-La Hotels. This morning I booked 2 nights at China World Summit Wing in Beijing - all up RMB5,060 less USD500 (approx RMB3,100) = RMB1,960.

I can book online RMB4,600 all up - saving RMB2,640 (AD403).

I stayed China World religiously over 8 year period and was GC Jade - watched Summit Wing spring out of ground and was going to try it til had dispute with China World over small matter - and then moved to Renaissance.

Am really looking forward to this - will post report post stay.

Not exactly a benefit - but I have just ordered a plastic chipped card today just incase I need it overseas. The novelty of the titanium card do wear off after the first two weeks and I don't have to think about how to answer the your card is heavy question.

What do you mean plastic chipped card? Is it a chipped centurion or platinum? I have 3 centurion cards, all titanium without chip and 4 platinum sups 3 with chips.

Can you keep the same card number if you apply for one with a chip? When the strip at the back of the titanium cards wear out and they issue a replacement it always has a different number.
