I do not seem to be able to edit my posts that I have just written. The Edit tag is missing!

Edit: The edit is working in this thread but not in the VA or Credit Card forums...

If there was to be a change, it would be in the medium-term.

The project to migrate AFF is essentially complete. At this stage, it's time to let the dust settle.

It would be impossible to start making tweaks at this stage as we don't even have a test system running. When that is set up we can look towards testing various changes away from a live site. If things go smoothly, those changes could be rolled out, but as I said, medium-term.

It's not meant to, so thank you for pointing that out. I have now fixed that. One usergroup was set incorrectly.

There is currently a larger limit for signatures, but I would have to agree with RooFlyer to some extent that it doesn't look as good having too big a block of text there. Ultimately, this is something that could be tweaked, so the more users that push the limits of what a signature is, the more likely we are to restrict what it can be. Right now, I think we are okay.

Yes, that works but it would be a pain to do it manually each time. Good trick though.

EDIT: I managed to muck it up anyhow when I made a change to the quote font. Now the quote just looks wrong.

EDIT: I think I managed to fix things now after the EDIT button re-appeared. I tried to fix things last night but locked out after 5 minutes.

I could not see (or select) the usual Delete or Edit options which appears next to Report.

However, when I just checked my post from last night again, the options have reappeared so I can now edit again.

There's a couple of threads in which I have made posts but which do not feature my avatar over the top of the avatar of the person who started the thread, on the page that lists the latest activity. That is, for some threads, the software doesn't seem to recognise that I've posted in it, which also means the "Go to first unread" feature doesn't work, taking me only to post number one.

Who's a clever boy then - i see you are getting the hang of this new AFF platform. I've tried a number of the variations and the only one that doesn't work very well is italics. Bolding quotes just doesn't look right.

I have had our AFF Style modified to reflect some of your comments:
1) Quoted text in a post is now easier to read
2) Have removed some of the "white space" near the top of the page. (An unintended consequence is that - for members who don't see ads - there is now no gap on the home forum page between the header block and "Community Connections". Just goes to show how making what seems to be a small change has other consequences. I don't believe this is a big deal, but will try to get it fixed at some time.)

@Admin & @support, the Top Posters section (at the bottom of the Community Forums page) seems not to be updating?? The daily numbers seem to be stuck (haven't take much note of the others). Are these live figures or based on a "past 24 hour" clock that may be inconsistent with Australian time?

No, they are not live. They are updated daily (I think).

Similar to the ski forum example then.

My only (very slight) criticism of this is that the quoted text (full black) is now darker than regular text (a dark grey)
Ideally they'd be swapped, or both be full black

But hopefully those members who've been struggling with magnifying glass would appreciate the change.

My other suggestions.

1. Change the colour of the voting bar from the light blue colour to light grey - IE. Consistent with the quotes/signature colour. Will just make everything in that column similar.

2. Replace the text "watched forums" link in the top bar with "watched threads" - this is far more useful in a forum this size. Possibly use an icon (eg an eye) instead.

3. Add a new posts text/icon link to that top bar

Could you stop putting those damn ads in the middle of peoples posts - it is really off putting, and I for one now read a lot less posts because of it.
Put the ads back in between posts but not in the middle - right in the middle of the posters photos !
