New Amex statement credits

A question about refunds and triggered emails. In the past with shop small and Dan Murphy and Langtons cash back purchases. Emails were sent immediately after using my credit card. I just split a family purchase of flights onto separate amex cards to utilise the virgin australia offer. No email. No credit yet. Have I missed something or do some of these statement credits take a while before email acknowledgment?

Emails are not sent every time.

Give it 7 days. If no credit contact AMEX.

Looked back to mid Oct and could not find a link to a map from DrRalph.

Found links to register (already done for Shop Small - no issues) but no map link - can you tell me where exactly you got a "map" link from DrRalph?

Sorry for the vague earlier message, just got off a flight to Sydney.

The link DrRalph has provided was what I was thinking of - I thought it was on this thread but may be wrong.

It was for NSW, but I see other states listed here:

VERY helpful for me.

Does anyone know if DJ giftcards can be used in the food hall at the little food bars they have?

If it is within the store and you just mean the food/deli area then yes.

All DJ registers are DJ and they prefer you to pay within each department. This was very hand in the 1000 MR/ transaction points run.

Shop Small frenzy started today and with it come the awkward conversations with pharmacists: "I know this product cost $19.85 but can you charge me $20?" :D

Success with GC in last round 2 months ago.

Any more details?

Did you buy in store or was it an e-voucher?

If in store where were the gift cards located?

How long did the credit take?

What were the denominations of the vouchers you purchased?

How long are the gift cards valid for?

Did they have pre-paid credit cards for purchase as well or only gift cards?

Appreciate any other anecdotes you have on the experience.

Questions, questions, questions Ralphie. ;)
I bought a single $300 GC (amex 300/50 offer) instore which I immediately used for purchase of another item. GC lasts 12 months. They keep track of remaining credit on card if you do not spend it all in one whack. Ask for the GC at checkout where they load the requested amount onto the card. I did not notice any pre-paid CCs but I was not looking for them.

I remember someone mentioned buying a prepaid CC but it had a very short expiry. I'm ok with that as long as I can offload it pretty quickly. Haven't shopped at HN in ages so not likely to buy anything else. But a great offer otherwise :)

Re the Woolworths $30/$15 welcome offer - has anyone had any luck buying a gift card and receiving the credit?
I know its excluded under T&Cs
Just curious...

Cheers

Re: ATO (tax office) payments by credit card

Interesting amex offer here. Some Harvey Norman do sell prepaid visa gift card $50 $100 $200 $500 ( activation fees $5.95/card ). So buying $100 + $200 visa card = total $300. Amex credit $100 back. GOOD DEAL!

Need to double check to see if Prepaid Visa Gift Card is eligible transaction .

I assume this is what Betty is referring to:

AMEX NSW output

This is the link I provided (taken from ozbargain) within the last 10 days. It may have been posted on another thread though.

There is only one way to describe the result, in true Crocdile Dundee fashion...

Now THAT is what I call a list - all 25,000+ businesses in NSW.

Was that about the size you saw it? Or has the recent link changed as it does a re-sort when you activate the link?
