New Amex statement credits

Purchased 1 x $50 gift voucher. No email from AMEX. Guess there's no need to be concerned?

Probably not. I get emails from AMEX most times but certainly not everytime.

I guess there is a small possibility that in 2017 gift card purchases no longer trigger the credits? Guess we wont know for sure until someone confirms that they get the credit for this offering.

I got emails..... The MMS is useless because you cannot read the digital info sent. Had to take photo off email sent.
Amex emails received too

Good point, I may just wait for someone to confirm it works! In this case T&C's did not seem to exclude gift cards so would be ironic if they were excluded.

For quite some time the terms provided with each offer don't say they exclude gift cards. But every offer has a link to more complete terms which state (inter alia):

'C. Transactions that are not eligibleThe following transactions are not eligible and will not count towards your spend for the purposes ofthe offer: transactions where you do not spend directly with the merchant (for example, if you buy themerchant’s goods through a third party department store); transactions processed through a third party payment processor (for example, PayPal); transactions that are subsequently cancelled or refunded; transactions where you buy a gift card, store credit or a voucher.'

Did one to test and no Amex email yet, although internet banking is showing the transaction as "DAN MURPHY ONLINE" so I am pretty confident the credit will hit.

I find with statement credits for me anyway:
When I manually sign up, i get emails 100% of times .
If I enrol via the app I don't get emails usually

Thanks Dr Ralph. Loaded but not pulling the trigger until I see a suitable discount on something I want to buy before 17/2, so I can piggy back...Hmmm, that will include Valentines Day...

Seems you both got your wish:

'Save the offer to your Card and spend $50 or more, in one or more transactions, online only at www.danmurphys.com.au by 17/02/2017 to receive one $10 credit. Limited to the first 30000 Cards to save the offer. Exclusions apply.'

I've found a few times in the past that jumping in early for these offers can sometimes cause a delay with the credit coming through. I try to delay 48 hours or so if possible (not always possible, of course)

For those that can't resist a bargain...just got an email from Dan Murphy's - stocktake clearance time.

Do the DM gift cards bought online function similar to the WISH cards? ie. has anyone used a DM card to buy groceries at Woolworths or any other non-DM WW group store?

Yes they are the same. You can use them at any Woolies group business.
