I am in VIC and bought some gift cards from BP using Amex at my local store, so it is doable, you might just need to have an operator who is nice and don't mind the hassle of spliting up payment in $40 increments.

If you are really stuck for ideas PM me and I can let you know which store I been to, but I can't guarantee they are still doing it now as I did it on the weekend.

The card I used even though I manually registered, did not receive ANY offers at all from the last week that normally come through on the AMEX app....

Yes, I was referring to your post from the DM wine thread, I don't think it was just your card personally.

Needed to changeover my 9L gas bottle (good timing) so I checked with my local BP and they would accept my bottle (wasn't a "Swap N Go" stickered bottle - they said don't worry, the team will just take that sticker off and rebrand Swap n Go). So it cost $39 and I added a chocolate to get it over $40.

Hadn't checked the T&C's before going in, but again, before I'd made it back to the car, my pocket buzzed with an incoming email. So let's see if that works - if it does, then I have used both my $10 discount offers (only 1 card registered, didn't get my wife's supp card registered in time).

Hate to be the bearer of bad news but places like Bunnings provide swaps for that size for $19.85.

For anyone whose BP refuse to sell bp giftcard ( using amex offer ), another way to do it : get opal recharge $240 ( use 3 amexs card, twice ) and lodge refund for opal refund ( reason card no longer required ) Yes this works. Previous BP offer I done it twice ( $480 for two cards, took about 4 weeks refund from OPAL ). Why I did it ? coz i got 18 amexes, no way I can use all cards for petrol

My local Bunning's exchange 8.5kg bottles for less than $20.00, you should check yours out

Now that petrol has come down quite a bit at my local BP, filling up w/ Ultimate has become affordable with the $10 back + I'm getting the 4 VFF points/litre promo offer.

Yes opal registered. I got 3 opal under 1 email registration.

Opal refund into bank account. About 4 weeks time.

This is a great idea. Not in NSW but just checked and the Qld equivalent do cash refunds as well. This will be perfect for the next shop small promotion. Load go cards at participating newsagents then cash out at a later date!
