It is especially when you have open forums and ozbargain spoon feeding people on how to get it.Must admit. It's a pretty intelligent way to launder money
I got mine last time via print out from cashier.... No actual physical card???
I read the split idea..... Mmmm.... Need to see if vpay available anymore..... Anyone?
Trying my local HN today..
Has anyone had Amex issued supplementary cards sent out for say, family members that don't live with them?
Supp cardholders can live anywhere.
Supp cardholders do not have to be family members (Though remember that the primary cardholder is liable fr all spend).
Amex does randomly check on who the Suppholder is. So you may be asked for ID.
- Over the last decade I have had many supp cards off various Amexs that I have had. Mainly I have not been ask for ID, but occasionally I have been. Posts by others on this forum would suggest a similar randomised checking.
Anyone had any luck with vpays or similar at Harvey Norman today?
Oh. What happens if you don't produce the required ID?
I have only had legit Supp cardholders and so I cannot advise.
My Amex MR balance floats around the 7 figure mark and so I do not take undue risks with my Amex card/s being cancelled or put at risk.
Thanks, I was thinking of family members that do travel from time to time.

Yes, no problem. $5.50 fee was charged per vpay card as per the rules. It's just that in previous times, some staff didn't quite follow the guidelines and many people were conditioned to expect that was the norm.
How did you go?
