New Amex statement credits

Purchased Samsung Galaxy S7 today price matched to Good Guys for $548. With $100 statement credit and TRS refund the phone is just under $400 which I think is good price. There were no S7 Edge in stock.

I successfully bought a $400 HN GC today. No questions asked, no frowning at an Amex card. Walked straight back in and bought two products leaving a balance on the GC for another day. Email received from Amex instantly.

You guys in NSW and VIC must breed a different kind of shop assistant because, here in QLD, I have never had any issues with any of the HN statement credit offers.

I am in QLD this weekend and after purchasing the phone asked if they still had the Visa gift cards on sale and the usual cashier that processes them for me started looking but the other cashier quickly said we don't sell the Visa gift cards anymore. Why? VPay does not want to sell them anymore. Silly answer but I was not going argue.

Any stores still selling the Visa gift cards. I am not interested in the Amex cashback. I just want to buy some Visa gift cards.

Ended uo buying a couple more $400 HN GCs ...am eyeing off a new DSLR camera within the next 2 years. What I like about HN is the ability to price match. Bought a camera tripod today which was 33% cheaper at Ted's cameras cf HN's sale price and they matched it. Paid wirh my remaining GC from last year (so another 33% off ), and will get the GST back in 2 days' time via TRS....can't complain!!

Bought $350 of Qantas gift vouchers and received the automated "You’ve just used your Qantas Online Amex Offer" email as usual.

$50 statement credit has come through.

My HN credit is in. It's kind of sad looking at the offers saved to my card though. I have only 2 on my charge (down from about 30) and 1 on the others (down from about 25).

I think the most I've ever had is 7 saved offers. I have 1 saved offer right now that I'm not going to use. There are no available offers. Can't get too excited.

Email isn't guaranteed with Harvey Norman. Start to worry if you haven't got your credit within 7 days.

But you did realise that the offer has expired I'm sure.

Just to clarify. The 31st December was the final day that you could use the credit.
