New Amex statement credits

anyone know if using the FHR to book at Hyatt will trigger the statement credit?
I've never really understood how FHR works because the charge is from the hotel right?

Excludes advance purchases, bookings or room reservations made through any other channels such as online aggregators or travel agencies

is FHR an on-line aggregator or travel agent?
honestly confused, any info appreciated

Invitation only on Qantas Amex Cards? I cannot see on my Edge, Explorer or Westpac (altitude Qantas) Amexes, nor in AmexConnect.

Only showing up on my Qantas AMEX - not seeing anything on Plat Charge, A/C, Explorer, Reserve or Velocity (although Velocity card has a 30% off promo code for VA flight bookings, which would be far more useful if it didn't have the 45-day advance booking requirement!).

Took a bit of running around with my wife but we finally used up our vogue promo credits.
$1250 Coles Myer gift cards
$2500 David Jones gift cards
$1500 of statement credits.

The Westfield lines were too long and restricted 1 giftcard per person and splitting only 2 payments.

nice work

so do you have 35 cards between you and yorur wife?

Yes, got my Amex/Vogue email today - in SYD on Mon/Tues, so wil make use of my solitary Amex card and get my three $50 CM gift cards

Took advantage of 30 CML and Westfield XS GCs today while in Sydney. When making payment across my cards at Westfield (Pitt), the CSA mentioned that someone came in this morning with 50 credit cards. Given how long it took to process my 10 cards (10 Mins), I can only assume the line grew exponentially with a 50 minute delay for one person.

Westfield got a bit funny about multiple cards last year. Have they toned it down a bit?

What’s the supply of Coles MYER cards like? I won’t get in until next week

Was denied splitting a $100 Westfield giftcard over two cards at Westfield Sydney Central Plaza this morning. Was told ‘can’t split payment’.

Hmm thought that might end up happening.

Might just do Coles Myer cards in Sydney and Melbourne. Westfield ones at $50 a go aren’t as great value with the fee.

Okay, this is what I am going to do - buy CM gift cards. As a newbie (being from BNE and not being able to partake in previous offers), so I have to go to the Westfield sites previously mentioned by @burmans and head to the CS desks to buy the CM cards?

You should go to a participating Myer to get the CM cards
Westfield cards from participating Westfields desks-these have an activation fee hence disappointment when unable to split payment
DJ cards from participating DJs
