New Amex statement credits

I use a table on a piece of paper. When in a shop tick off usage with a red pen and then check my phone for the credit emails and update table accordingly with an E for email. This works successfully for me but YMMV.

Sounds like a senior moment there, KPC!
No such prob if u use all your cards in one go for one merchant then move to the next merchant and the one after. Anyway, I guess you had many more cards so hard to keep track.

It was due to Westfield insisting on seeing photo ID. I was trying to sneakily use one of my supp cards (in my parent's name) instead, and then being unable to remember the exact card I had used

My technique is to have the 'id' cards in my right hand and the cards I want to actually use in my pocket in the left hand. Give them the 'id' cards to look at and then pick them up and put them in the right hand pocket. Then get the left hand out with the cards you want to use. It is probably not foolproof but has worked for me so far.

Easier using the iPhone Wallet. I showed them one actual card and id and did all 5 using the iPhone without the need for any further verification.

I ended up running out of time yesterday and today only had 30 mins before needing to head out to airport. Went to DJ’s in Castlereigh Street as I saw some nice work shirts on display. Cheekily the price of the discounted ones were $49.95 so had to opt for one at $79.95 (better quality and happier I bought it) - with the email coming through before I’d exited.

Went to the Westfields on Pitt Street (in mall) but stuffed if I could find where to buy the GC’s. Ran out of time as wanted to get train to airport before the 5pm rush.

In MEL next week (Thu/Fri) but don’t think it’s inside the eligibility period - must check when I get home.

Such a poor effort from an AFF’er - but I’m from interstate so that my excuse.

The Shangri-La offer that's just come up is pretty good ($500/$175 as was mentioned earlier in the thread), but you can use it up to 10 times and at most Shangri-La properties around the world, not just those in Australia. Limit of one $175 credit per property per card. T&Cs say that for overseas hotels, it's triggered if the AUD amount your charge is converted to is $500+. Not sure whether that includes the 3% international transaction fee or whether it has to be the base charge (probably doesn't matter unless you're right on the edge).

That one only came up on my primary Charge (not on supps or A/C card). Qantas $200/$40 only appeared on my Explorer (and is valid until December, handy), but also have a $300/$50 saved on my Discovery that has to be used this month.

Yes you can get two credits for Westfield. The one next to Microsoft comes through as Westfield Sydney. The other one (Myer side) is Westfield Sydney Central Plaza.
