New Amex statement credits

Has any tried purchasing gift cards from Myer and managed to get the credits as per offer.
Yes. No problems. As has always been the case. I bought Coles Myer group cards. Used them to buy an iPhone at Officeworks.

Absolutely I agree. I went out Wednesday to buy a bunch of stuff I needed with the thought I would finally use some of my 10 chances. Not a single one accepted amex! Even the chemist I tried (Terry White) is listed on the map, but I went to a different branch and they wouldn't take it.

There were 2 times I used it, thinking they were small, non chain places - no credit.

So, a big fat zero credits for me. Cancelling the Explorer Monday. Will decide about the Edge later.
For those listed on the map but which refuse Amex in person, I’ve had success paying with another card and then sending Amex a chat message about it - they’ve consistently given me the credit anyway. Sometimes after making me send a copy of my receipt.

Some more Statement Credits on offer as of today:

Ola Cabs - 25 / 10 (multiple transactions to a total of ≥$25)
Flight Centre - 400 / 25
Robins Kitchen - 50 / 10
House - 60 / 15
Red Balloon - 200 / 50
Vinomofo - 200 / 50
Footy Direct - 70 / 20

My Flight Centre offer is more generous 400 / 75. My Red Balloon offer is worse 250 / 50.

I also have Pethouse - get 10% back on one transaction and Laithwaites 150 / 50

Spend $150 or more, get $50 back
Laithwaite's Wine People

Assume that you can buy gift cards at flight centre and get the credit? If so anything I need to know about flight centre gift cards? EG. Can only use one gift card per transaction or gift cards can't be used for flights or something else restrictive like this?

FC gift cards received the credit last year. No restrictions on using them as far as I know except that if you book online you have to then ring up to pay with the GCs.

Very useful to know. I have $400/$75 on 4 cards so might go buy them for use for the next holiday.

The process for booking airfares is fairly easy. Just be sure to take screen grabs and check the fare bucket when booking VA airfares. My elevate fare became a getaway during the process. I never book getaway fares so I'm convinced the FC pocketed the difference. It's a good deal though. Amex on a roll lately.....

I received a Myer 250/25 on all the cards that didn't get a 200/40

Myer - 350 / 35

Ola offer can be used together with their current 20% promo to/from airport rides. Cheaper than Uber and DiDi.

I just received a Paypal offer

Enjoy a 20% credit, up to $40, when you check out with PayPal by December 31 2019 using your American Express® Card. You'll also earn points when you use your Card.

Must be targeted and doesn't appear in my offers section despite having activated it.

I have the same offer but it appears under expired offers - expires 28 November. Email says 31 December. I’ll wait for a fix before using it I think

Got the same. But only on 1 of my cards.

Also had the spend $20 get $5 back paypal welcome offer. So I'm assuming that these offers will stack.

Just noting that the offer wasn't showing when I log into my AMEX account before or after saving it - I saved it via following the link in the email.

Anyone thinking some gift cards paid via paypal should trigger this?

UPDATE: Did the $2 charge via Paypal to link the card to my Paypal account and got the email straight away from AMEX that I had used this new offer.
